They used to have far more variety, including tempura battered fish. Now, those menu items are simply covered over with tape and you can only get panko. This seems like a permanent change even though tempura items are still showing on the screens. The fish itself is tasty, but they are stingy with sauces and refused to give us extra ketchup for our fries. For what you're paying, they could put a little in a bowl if you ask for it nicely. In fairness the fries were quite good and the two sauces (garlicky mayo and curry mayo?) are interesting and tasty. We were there at a very busy time and were forced to clear our own table, including touching other diners' disgusting half eaten meat all over the table (from another restaurant). The Fish en Chips people "graciously" gave me a wet wipe but didn't offer to do it themselves. In short, what was once good is now only mediocre. There are better choices...
ย ย ย Read moreGood food, awful service. My son and I have dietary issues that mean I can only order the two only things on the menu that are gluten-free: the grilled salmon salad and the chips. I've ordered them before, but today I was told I couldn't have the chips without ordering something else, and I couldn't have the grilled salmon salad because they were out of it. I explained that we were on gluten-free diets and those were the only two things we could have, but he didn't care. I couldn't get the chips unless I ordered something else--and there was nothing else I could order that I could eat! The server was extremely rude, and he was generally being extremely rude to other people there who were nice and took my side. It's absurd to demand that people order food they can't eat just to get the one thing they can! Crazy! Don't go to Fishenchips. They don't want your patronage, so don't...

The other was "crispy fish" and it's hake in bread crumbs and is also served with fries. My daughter and I both liked the tempura kind better but the breaded one was also very good. Portions are large and I typically eat a lot and came out of there satiated. There is a large selection of beers and soft drinks but we each requested tap water which was served free and cold. Price was very reasonable at 40 to 42 shekels per meal
