My husband and I came here after seeing it on YouTube by Mark Wiens and we were excited to try it. However I’ve never experienced racism so bad as today. I’m white but my husband is of brown skin and as soon as we arrived the (presumed) owner refused to seat us inside when asked but straight after did seat other people inside after us (there were many places still available inside). I am still thinking about the aubergine stuffed with some kind of cinnamon beef and pine nuts, dumpling soup, wonderfully fragrant meatballs, and the only hummus i've ever been excited about. Service is brusque and super quick. A bit hard to find in the laneways - look for the greasy spoon style awning and soldiers dining alfresco amidst dozens of old guys at a social club yelling at each other while...
