It was hot. It took a long time for the waiters to bring us water, to the point where they returned and asked several times what we wanted to order, and the first thing we asked for was water multiple times.
The menu was not updated. Dishes were unavailable and wasted a lot of our time in choosing. We wanted a wine bottle but none of the wines we wanted from the menu were available. The waitress didn't know what was available; we asked for a waiter who knew, and he more or less made us understand that there were no wines available for selection or tasting as needed.
We ordered 8 appetizers; only 7 arrived, and we reminded the waitress that one was missing.
We waited a long time for the steak after the other diners had mostly finished eating.
We decided not to leave a tip because of the disrespect shown to the diners by the restaurant owner and management of the waitstaff. Waiters should earn their tips and not assume they'll receive one just because there's a diner. We know how to give a 15-20% tip when deserved, but here it felt disrespectful.

If they were all booked up, why not tell us immediately and why with such an attitude.
When I pointed out all the empty seats, she spoke in such a condescending manner. If this restaurant has any hope of surviving, they ought to get some new hostesses, because these two women will run this place into the ground. Only eat here if you like being treated like you are doing them a favour for your patronage! I’ll never try this place.I can get a million times better service...

Note that the restaurant itself...
