Landwer Café — Restaurant in Tel-Aviv

I have been to this cafe a number of times in the past for lunch and it was always pleasant and the food and service were good. Yesterday, a friend and I went there for coffee and a pastry, not a meal. Unfortunately that was a bad choice. The only pastry they had available was a plain croissant, so we both ordered that with drinks. The coffee was lukewarm and weak, and the croissant was dry and tasteless, and wasn't warmed up. I guess you have to order something a bit more expensive to enjoy this place? In any case, I won't be going back. After we were sitting there for about an hour or so, the boss or the guy who was in charge of seating people kept on walking around near us and looking at our empty coffee cups. Most of the croissants were still on our plates however, which indicated to him that we were still going to sit there. Apparently he was getting nervous because the lunch crowd was starting to arrive and that meant making more money. So he sent the waitress to ask us what was happening, which was not only weird but downright obnoxious. It became crowded and noisy, we were happy to leave our table so the waitress could seat people who would spend more money. Very disappointing, for a "Cafe" to have lousy coffee and lousy service, unless perhaps you...

הגענו עם בעלי להינות מארוחת בוקר בשישי, רצינו לשבת בכיף ובנחת, כי גם קיבלנו שובר מהמילואים שלו. חיכינו שינקו לנו שולחן שהתפנה עוד לפני שהגענו למקום,ראינו מרחוק שכבר פנוי וציפינו שנגיע, יפנו את השולחן ויושיבו אותן,בסוף חיכינו בקור שינקו (נכון, הציעו לנו לשבת בחוץ,אבל קר לשבת והעדפנו שיושיבו בפנים שזה גם לא כזה בפנים זה פרגולה שבנו מחוץ לבניין ועדיין קריר שם) עד שלא ביקשנו שוב לפנות את השולחן אף אחד גם לא דאג לזה.בסוף פינו את השולחן ,כשבאנו לשבת, על הכיסא אחת היה מסתיק שכבר מזמן נהיה קהה ועוד כיסא ליד שעליו השאירו חתיכה של עגבנייה מהארוחה הקודמת.התפריטים מלוכלכים, דביקים לא נעים לגעת בזה. מה שכן האוכל טעים, זה מה שגרם לנו בסוף להישאר. כשהביאו קפה - לא יודעים להגיש - עם נזילות בצד,זה כך יוצא לכל האורחים, כי ראינו את זה גם כשהוציאו אוכל לאחרים כשחיכינו להושבה. בנוסף מקום מאוד רועש, חייבים לשים בתחילת היום מוזיקה נעימה ורגוע ואז אנשים לא ישבו וידברו בקול רם, אני לא אמורה לשמוע את השיחות נפש של כל השולחנות מסביב ! בסוף כשהביאו חשבון היינו צריכים להשלים כ20₪, אז בעלי השאיר 30₪ סה"כ שיהיה לטיפ, למרות שגם את זה לא מגיע למקום. ומי שקיבל מאיתנו תשלום זרק משפט "השירות היה כזה לא טוב אם השארתה 10₪ טיפ?" ופשוט הלך. שזה לדעתי חוצפה, כי קודם כל טיפ - זה לפי הרצון שלי, לא היינו שולחן ענק שקשה לשרת אותו (אני בעצמי הייתי מלצרית ויודעת מה זה ואף פעם לא הייתי מוציאה לאנשים שתייה עם נזילות או תפריט מלוכלך, או שהייתי מנקה או שבוחרת אחר שיהיה נקי!!!) ודבר שני - זה פשוט לא מכבד להגיד דבר כזה גם בגלל שאתה אף פעם לא יכול לדעת מה המצב הכלכלי של אותו בן אדם וגם לזרוק אמירה וללכת - למה זה תורם? אם זה באמת מעניין אותך סיבה - אז תשאר, תשאל את זה בתור שאלה ותקשיב ללקוח ותקח לשיפור, במקום לנסות להשפיל בן אדם.

והמנהלים חייבים לדאוג לכמות הצוות שנמצאה בשישי ובנוסף שיהיה סדר מדוייק לכל המלצרים, שיבוץ שולחנות וכו' כי רואים שאין סדר, הכל בלאגן ולא...

after a decent (if expensive) meal we ordered a dessert, which came full of mold (a lovely surprise we discovered after already eating about half of it). we paid for the meal in full plus tip, and were promised a voucher as an apology. after three days and having to go back to the restaurant, we finally got a voucher, for a free dessert... for this specific location. obviously neither of us is coming back there and risking getting another moldy surprise. servers were kind and apologetic, and obviously it wasn't their fault. I wouldn't recommend going...
