Miznon by Eyal Shani - מזנון בשרונה מרקט — Restaurant in Tel-Aviv

Poor experience, and a shame for the Miznon chain. Other branches are usually great, but this one has a smaller selection, and while generally in other branches every item on the menu is rich with taste, moisture, texture, and has this exact balance thr miznon manages to make, in this case our experience was so dosappointing that we never even bothered to complain. Just ran away.

The pitas were nearly empty (photo attachment shows the pita as we received it), the kebab was tasteless and the liver burned. The potato side had not had enough seasoning and was bland.

It doesn't feel at all like Eyal Shani had ever visited the place, or like there's any quality control. Really, this is a serious disappointment for the name.

Even the Charif sauce is a different recipe, with red peppers, and is just boring, and the Tahini (cost 6 ils) was not even half full.

we dropped by, ordered some food (different pitas - 2x eggplant, chicken, chickenliver), sat down und were suddenly invited to relocate ourselfs to the counter by the friendly chef. while having a nice chat with him, and mentioning this is our first day in tel aviv, he started „painting“ a huge meal (tahini, cucumber, tomatos, onions, bread, and some other stuff) in front of us. while eating this painting as a starter, and having got our orders , he suprised us with some other dishes (sweet potatos, baked spring onions, baked banana) . everything tasted really fantastic. to be honest, at the end we wondered if this will end in some kind of tourist ripoff . but it was just an heartly and overwhelming „welome to israel, enjoy our country“ to quote the chef. and we really had a great time (2 weeks) while making our roadtrip...

It's a vibrant place where you can grab one of the classic Miznon dishes, like Pita with Steak & Eggs or Baked Cauliflower - you won't believe how tasty Cauliflower can be if you haven't tried this one before...
