Al Duomo Bar/Pizzeria/Restaurant — Restaurant in Acireale

È un locale senza un'identità... è bar, rosticceria da asporto, pizzeria e ristorante. Non sono del posto, mi trovavo ad Acireale per il carnevale. La signora bionda alle casse era scortese e non adatta, a mio parere, al contatto con il pubblico. Avevo prenotato ben due settimane prima attraverso l'app the fork, una settimana prima chiamo il locale per confermare la prenotazione (che segnano anche manualmente) ed il giorno stesso mi arriva e-mail di The fork per confermare la prenotazione stessa. Ma tutto ciò per la signora non era ancora sufficiente perché arrivati al locale scocciata ci dice che le prenotazioni online sono bloccate... Ma tutto bene? Semplicemente non aveva idea di come usare l app, le abbiamo detto che la nostra prenotazione era stata fatta anche al telefono ma lei con sufficienza ci dice "forza qua c'è un tavolo, il tavolo c'è forza sedetevi". Come se ci stesse facendo un favore. Ma esattamente pensava stesse parlando con il suo cane? Perché non è modo di rivolgersi ai clienti. Tavolo tra l altro nemmeno apparecchiato, posto vicino alle casse con una fila enorme di persone che dovevano pagare che erano a ridosso del tavolo. Sicuramente non c'erano le condizioni per cenare tranquillamente considerato anche che quel tavolo oltre ad essere a ridosso della cassa era anche vicino ai frigoriferi con via vai di camerieri e clienti che prendevano le bevande. I tempi di attesa sono stati brevi, le patatine ordinate con pistacchio erano buone, la pizza è arrivata senza aver sparecchiato i piatti delle patatine ( qualcosa su cui si può sorvolare) ma era sbagliata, avevo ordinato una pizza con speck croccante ma mi arriva della pancetta bruciata, impossibile da tagliare figuriamoci da mangiare. Shocking service. The bar was not particularly busy so we chose to stop for lunch. We’d been acknowledged on arrival, took our seats and waited, and waited and waited for our order to be taken.

We then waited and waited for our drinks to be served.

We waited and waited for our food to be delivered , assured by the staff that it was “arriving” so is Babo Natale!

We were advised that our one burger, amongst an order of 6 arrancini was holding up the service. It was a basic burger, no real reason for the 45minute hold up.

Extremely disorganised and mediocre service. Half of the tables' dishes were not even cooked or served by the end of our lunch which took 3hrs of mostly waiting when the restaurant was not at all busy. Starters and drinks were served well after the few meals that were served. Pasta dishes were ok however the "steak" was well below average, bland and seemed like it came straight out of a freezer.
