My wife and I can't comment on the food, as we never got that far. I asked a passing waiter for a menu and he just pointed me in the direction of the QR code on the napkin holder, despite the fact that there were definitely paper menus. He looked so miserable and moody. Then I asked the waitress for a menu, which she produced from her apron. My wife and I examined the menu, chose the exact items we wanted and then, when the waitress came over and we began to order, she told us that the kitchen did not open until 8pm (it was only 6pm) and that only focaccia was available until then. Would it have been so difficult to mention that before we wasted 10 minutes looking at the menu? And, from what we could see there was nothing printed on the menu telling us that only focaccia was available before 8pm. The attitude of staff was awful. Working here seemed to be a punishment for them. There are so many competing eateries here, we don't need to give this place our business....
Read moreLooks like the working atmosphere in this place is awful as ALL of them working there had a grumpy, bad mood. But especially the woman at the cashier who worked on the 21.12.22 in the morning was rude. Never expierienced something like that. As I had to reask something, as I did not understand her silent, broken english in first place, she whispered rude stuff about me directly in front of me in itlalian, and as I speak french and spanish, it was not difficult to understand what she was saying. I do not use those words here now. Even if the Foccacia would have been delicious (it was not, just okay, dry bread, not much filling) the way the stuff handled the guests were not acceptable. And I never write reviews - except pretty good one. But this… do not support this way of treatment. Especially in a place like sardinia, where during my last 7 weeks I never made any negative expieriences, as people are so respectful, helpful and...
Read moreWe left Arzachena very early and arrived in Alghero absolutely starving. After trying to sit down elsewhere without luck, we found Bar Focacceria Milese, which had great Google reviews, and decided to give it a try. The place wasn’t too busy yet, so we chose to eat in. We had two Focaccia Milese, a café latte, and a freshly squeezed orange juice (spremuta)—everything was fresh and delicious.
The bar was clean and had a toilet available, which was also very clean—always a plus when you’re traveling! We loved it so much, we came back at lunchtime, but the place was packed with a long queue, so we grabbed takeaway instead. I definitely recommend this spot—very affordable, all homemade, and...
