Lu Furat Ristorante Pizzeria — Restaurant in Alghero

The food was ok, but nothing extraordinary. We liked Frito misto but tagliata di manzo was so so. Up until that moment we thought that is not possible to eat average veal meat in Italy. It was our mistake, this is definitely pizza place, more of the customers ordered pizza which looks delicious. House wine (the red one) was very good but they served it with glasses for white wine. The main disappointment was we had a reservation for outside, because the atmosphere there was really pleasant, but they gave us a table inside because they told us that they don’t serve the tables outside because it is possible to rain. The rain had definitely stopped and there were two outside tables with clients, the rest were free. But after our dinner when we left the salon inside we saw that outside there are other customers just on the table we asked for - obviously the staff had served them. And apparently it wasn’t raining. That was really disappointing experience. I don’t recommend the place if it is your last evening in Alghero. Otherwise, except for this misunderstanding it looks like a good option for pizza.

Update after owner’s response: I just want to stress out that we are not a couple of weirdo fans of dining in the rain. Before going to the place we’ve been outside and it had been neither rainy nor windy. But I understand why for the restaurant it always makes sense to fill the less popular inside...

We left the place with mixed feelings. The frito misto was delicious, the house wine was very good. Tagliata di manzo was average. The red wine was served in glasses more suitable for white. They forgot to bring the espresso I ordered together with the desert (but they also didn't include it in the bill). And now the biggest issue - when we arrived, we were refused an outside table because of the possibility to rain (when we explicitly asked for it, they said they don't serve the outside tables today). When we left the place, the outside tables have been seated with other customers. Enjoying red wine in proper glasses. Apparently, not all customers get the same level of service. It's a bit disappointing. I realize none of our issues is a big deal, but unlike the locals who can regularly visit the place and grab a pizza, we spend really few days in Sardinia and hope for a perfect...

The food is amazing, everyone there is very nice. The outside part of the restaurant is very nice and is always packed with people. A lot of people reserve a table there but in my opinion you do not need a reservation. We ate there two times during our vacation, never reserved a table and we always got a table outside the moment we got there. Also we saw a lot of people who got a reservation there and they always waited for their table for quite a while.
