Blau SkyBar — Restaurant in Alghero

The two stars are for the view. We reserved a table, but were treated as though we had not. The waitress and the barman were doing their best in the face of too many orders, at a busy time, in a fully booked room. It doesn't really matter what I write here, as it will be responded to in the same way the other negative reviews have been. I understand that the barman probably feels he works better and more efficiently on his own, but if the bar was divided into two work-stations, with two people preparing, and if there were two wait staff instead of one, everybody might get served within 5 or 6 minutes, instead of waiting 15 minutes before even ordering. We tried to order a second drink, were told the usual "Just a second", and gave up after being ignored for a further 20 minutes. The attitude towards guests was brusque and controlling, not a good experience to file away in our memories of Alghero. This was very much in contrast with the smooth, professional operation in the same room at breakfast, where there were at least 3 waiting staff for a somewhat less busy room. 07/2022 Small bar on the top floor of the Hotel Catalunya. Large menu with drinks, cocktails etc... Aperitivo came with crisps, olives and bites (always a great welcome). Not much on the food side apart from snacks. Salami & cheese board was okayish (salami not the greatest at all!). Pizza trancio wasn't great either. Having stayed in the hotel and enjoyed a lovely breakfast in this stunning, 9th story room with spectacular views over Alghero, we were keen to enjoy a cocktail later in the Blau Sky Bar. How disappointing an experience! Very understaffed. No greeting at our arrival and long delay before being shown to our table. Service was very slow due to the lack of sufficient staff....
