We ordered fruti di mare spaghetti with espressos. Decent food and doable prices, have a look at the check before you leave.
Plus: The spaghetti were tasty (speaking of the taste only) the prices were average for a beach restaurant the waitress was nice and helped us with our order, gave us recommendation based on our request. Minus: spaghetti was drenched in oil at the bottom, so although it started off great, when we tried to finish our meal we had to be really careful not to eat a ton of oil with the last spaghetti and tomatoes when we tried to pay we waited for 10-15 minutes with no attendance from the waitress, we then decided to stand up and pay at the front desk the worst part - we saw in previous reviews that they tend to play with the checks. This was our case as well, we had some white wine glass (we had no alcohol or water, only espressos) on our check which we asked to be taken off. They did and apologized. After leaving we realised they charged us 1.80 per kafe and not 1.20 as it is referenced in the menu. Either they do it on purpose or dont care enough to make some measures to fix these mistakes,...

We booked yesterday for a dinner with friends. The receptionist was very helpful, pleasant and fun to talk to. We booked a table for 14, at 9PM.
Luckily we knew where the restaurant was, because the pathway to get there is very dark (people were using their phones as flashlights to see where they were walking).
We enter the restaurant, asking for our table. At our request, he couldn't find our reservation. Also, he didn't have a table for all of us. He then asked us who we had talked to (as if it is up to me to remember receptionist names). Also, he was quite ironical (laughing, "why, do we not say who we are on the phone?")
To cut a long story short, there is no way I can talk about the food. What I can review is the service - non-existent.
If you plan on not eating and be laughed at, this is the best...

I am surprised to read the other reviews complaining about the quality of the food or the price.
While this is not the restaurant that I would choose to impress a food critique, I can comfortably say we had 3 very nice meals, with fresh food, that tasted of good quality and at a price that seems very reasonable considering where we were: right in the middle of the beach, notoriously not the type of places where one eats particularly well.
As many said, the views is beautiful.
Yes, there are cats roaming as guests but Alghero is a bit all of a city that actively support feline friends.
Overall having this place so close to our sunbeds significantly improved...
