Much of the food was quite tasty. The toast and club sandwiches were just as they should be and came in a reasonable time to the table even at a crowded lunch. The poke bowl was a good balanced blend and a good portion for the price. The Polpo e patate and the Grigliatina di pesce were fresh and tasty. The only trouble came when after more than one hour the Calamarata con Ragù de pesce still had not arrived. Of course the other food had all been eaten and two rounds of drinks gone so when we went to pay the bill expecting that perhaps there was a mistake when the order was made I asked that they refund the price of the pasta as it was never delivered. Instead they insisted that it was “on the way” and would be “just a moment.” So now with our table occupied by new diners we stood waiting for 10 minutes for the pasta before the waiter came and with a surprised voice asked if we were waiting for the pasta. When I said yes, he went to the chef station and seemed to finally place the order. After another 15 minutes the unimpressive pasta was delivered. It is a very nice place with the very strange service. We spent half day between bar - beach and again the bar, and we were followed by the personnel to pay extra for one of the beach chairs that we didn't use(even if the beach was empty). Ok, no problem. The towels weren't offered and then we saw that they offered it to another client, for my question if there are towels for us the administrator told us that she should check if there were some for us- never came back again to us. We took a coffee at the bar and turned back to the beach. We were immediately disturbed by personnel to pay immediately 8 euro, after that we already send there money for the lunch and for the beach bed rental. We had a feeling like they are thinking that we will run away. Not very nice experience! Double standards. The food was definitely good, but we won't come back. Location is straight on the beach which is a big plus! Staff is really attentive to the customers and we have been treated really good! The restaurant itself is nice and quite spacious! We loved the first dish and the antipasti, both delicious! We had amberjack ceviche and tagliolini with pecorino cheese and dried fish bottarga. For the main course a disappointing beef combined with potatos which for my taste has been a disaster. The beef was not medium rare at all, as requested and the accompanying sauce and mayo was really heavy, not at all well balanced dish. It was to heavy for my taste but on the meniu it seemed to be really nice, something special according to the description! We loved both desserts, especially the tart with pistachio mouse, raspberry inside, salted caramel and sorbet on the side. Overall, the experience was not a bad one, partially a good and great one if we pick aside the awful beef maine dish.
