Caffè Del Sole — Restaurant in Alzachèna/Arzachena

I generally don’t write negative reviews, but really think the high rating is deceiving. My partner and I went here for breakfast. The coffee and small pastry we shared was decent.

However, the hot food we ordered off of the menu was horrible - I would even go so far as to say inedible. The scrambled eggs were artificial and cold, the toast soggy, and the bacon uncooked. My partner ordered a sandwich that was slightly better but not worth spending money on.

The staff was clearly working hard - but it seemed that there was no kitchen staff and it was just the waitresses making the plates and taking orders. This also made the wait time to order and receive food very long.

The cafe itself has a decent atmosphere and is decorated nicely but I would STRONGLY recommend against ordering meals from the menu. If you visit, stick to coffee...

Very mixed opinions about this spot. the atmosphere and staff were very nice. I was looking forward to some pancakes but noticed in their display case that some of the breakfast food, such as pancakes and waffles, were readily available and likely pre-made. Somewhat disappointing as I was hoping for something made fresh verses sitting out for who knows how long. There was also a hair on my plate which I didn’t notice until I was 3/4ths of the way done. I brought it to the attention of my waitress and she took the item off the bill without hesitation which was appreciated. I ordered a fresh juice which was very good. He were at Porto Rotondo area for 3 nights, staying at a abid’oru hotel. We decided to take the car for a trip around the coast and we ended on this lovely cafe. The food is very good, we had a salad and a panini and all the ingredients were fresh and tasty. The service very nice. Although they do not have a perfect English, they really try to make themselves understand and were ready to help. The cafe design is also very good. The prices were fair. We payed 30€ for a salad, a panini and 3 beers....
