If you want to overpay and have a bad experience, go to this place. The treatment was awful, a very poor management and service by a woman. When it came time to pay, they had no idea what they were charging us, and we ended up paying much more than we should. We received a VERY bad treatment, roll one’s eyes, and yelling from this woman. Really a very awful experience. Working in service requires professionalism, you’re dealing with tourists who come to the restaurant to have a good time&food. The waiters were fine with their service, but in the end, poor management made all the difference. I’m a restaurant manager myself, I know what I’m talking about.

Edit: this was the only place we ate at twice in our trip. Paolo and the team truly make you feel like family. We arrived last night w some car trouble. He and the chef helped after dinner and made sure we were ok offering to pick us up if the car broke down between there and the hotel. Sciumara is our home away from home! Look forward to visiting again for years to come!

Lively atmosphere at this family run restaurant. Really enjoyed the large wraparound terrace on the waterfront. Menu had plenty of selections and was heavy on the pizzas. We had a really bad experience here. First thing: we enteres the restaurant with a reservation and we were told to step back literally in really bad manners and wait until the maitre appeared. The food was really bad except for the pizzas. Tagliata was soooo hard, the gran grilliatta came with a whole fish in it without being cleaned first (all the tripes and even the scales, not only disgusting but also dangerous. They even forgot one of our dishes and came 20 mins late and told us they had another 20 mins until it comes when they had clearly forgotten. Ah!
