When we arrived we were seated very quickly. We proceeded to order our drinks and then our food. The waiter left and we proceeded to wait 20-25 minutes before the waiter came back. The waiter brought out a pasta with tomato sauce. We asked about our drinks, a coke; virgin colada; and mojito, and he said “ohh you don’t have your drinks yet” (same guy who took our order and the only guy of two waiters). I’d understand if it took slow cause it was a busy day, however there were only two other tables. 10 minutes later he brinks out two more plates. And we asked about our drinks again and he said that they were being made. 5 minutes later we get the rest of our food. We asked about our drinks again. He said he’ll bring them out next. We proceed to eat and wait for another 15-20 minutes. We finished our food and still didn’t receive our drinks. At this point we decided to cancel the drinks. Planning to tell him next time he came to check up on us. So we waited for in all 45 minutes for him to come over to us(including the time it took to eat). At one point we tried to flag him over to us and were ignored.
While this was all happening I watched as the same waiter interacted with another table. The couple was seated and ordered water. He brought over a glass to then and will transporting it to the table he dropped it and it shattered on the table and onto the woman seated at it. Mistakes happen not to claim they don’t. So they were moved to another table. The ordered and waited. The guy brought out their food, which was some sort of pizza. But It was the wrong one. So they waited and finally got the guys attention and he came over, and they explained that the food was wrong. He proceeded to argue with the couple and wag his finger at the lady of the couple and bring up the broken glass. After their altercation the couple not even eating got up and started to walk away and the waiter(also our waiter) proceeded to raise his voice at them as they left.
Back to us we decided to simply get up and tee being ignored, honestly debated just leaving but we were raised right and went over to the front to see about concealing the drinks and leaving. When we got there, we talked about canceling our drinks to which he tells us we never had any drinks ordered. So him telling us they were coming over and over even was just to keep us quiet. He never intended to nor ever did bring...
Read moreWorst place to choose if you want a pleasant dining experience! Never in my life have I experienced such poor service. • The waiter who seated us forgot to take our order. After about 20 minutes, another colleague finally came to do it. There were only 2 waiters for the entire restaurant. • The waiter who served our drinks and food behaved with total disregard. He even dropped a glass right in front of me – accidents can happen, but the way it was handled showed zero professionalism. We had to move to another table. • tagliatta came after 20 minutes, and the pizza only after another 10 minutes, and only because we insisted. When the pizza finally arrived, it was far below expectations. • We then tried to order a Caprese salad (not to replace anything, just additionally). Instead of accommodating, the first waiter came to confront us, called me “rude” and told my husband that it was not possible to order. This level of behavior is absolutely unacceptable.
All customers around seemed unhappy with his attitude. When we finally asked for the bill, he literally threw the receipt at us. When I pay for a meal, I also pay for service – and here, the service was insulting.
The food itself might have been decent, and I understand there was only one cook, but the service completely ruined the experience. It spoiled our entire day.
👉 I sincerely hope the manager reads this. We deserve at least a refund for such a...
Read moreI had a wonderful dinner at Cibò and it was an experience worth repeating. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, with rustic tables, checkered tablecloths, and the delightful aroma of freshly baked bread.
We tried several seafood starters, including the tuna tartare, dentice carpaccio, and a seafood selection – all incredibly fresh and flavorful. For mains, the red prawn linguine and saffron risotto with mussels were perfectly cooked and beautifully presented.
The staff was outstanding: young, professional, and genuinely attentive. Their passion for the service really enhanced the dining experience. Prices are reasonable for Porto Cervo (around €50 per person) considering the quality and presentation.
Only minor issue: one dish arrived slightly less hot than expected, and there was a small delay in service, but it was handled promptly and didn’t affect the overall experience.
Overall, Cibò is a gem in Porto Cervo – authentic, flavorful, and with service that makes you feel special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for genuine Italian cuisine in a...
