T O T A L D I S G R A C E! We sat at the table, waiter gave us menus and after couple of minutes she comes back saying that all places are reserved and we need to leave. It was strange because of two reasons 1) Only one guy was sitting apart from us in the entire hall and there were plenty of free tables. 2) We were not informed in advance, we spent about 5 minutes in there and only after that we were kicked out!

Yes, it was a kick out and we realised that only after we walked along this place after having delicious dinner in another place and saw that there was still unbusy inside and then all the puzzles came together - Couple of days earlier, when we first came to Anguillara Sabazia, we went in this place and ordered coffee while waiting for our check-in. We spent there about 60 -70 minutes (noone apart from us was there), and then left. Probably this prolonged stay was unacceptable for them and decided to revenge ( I can’t think of other reasons, we were not rude or noisy or anything innapropriate). Had the smaller Scottona burger with “cicoria, bufala, granella di pane aromatizzato aglio olio e peperoncino.” They are offered in two sizes, 120 and 250 g. — as of May 2018 prices for these are 8.50 euro small and 11.50 large. These are toward the high end of menu prices, many panini offered in the 5 euro range. This new menu offering is absolutely delicious! Cooked perfectly (light pink, not bloody, but importantly, not overcooked) and the sautéed greens played wonderfully against the terrific burger. The roll was light, not too bready, and there was just enough cheese to assert itself without overwhelming the meat and greens. Charming lakeview terrace seating and friendly attentive service. The atmosphere was lovely and some of the staff members were very accommodating with us and our dog. Some were very warm and friendly and others were very indifferent.

We ordered the fried calamari for appetizers. It tasted great but a bit too small in terms of portion size. For our main meals we had the mixed fried dish and the zucchini cream sun dried tomato burger. Both were delicious and the portion sizes were perfect, though the burger could’ve used a bit more flavor.

It’s close to a Gelateria, for those who want a different dessert from what they offer. And there is a lovely waterside walk way for a nice stroll and a view. Overall it was a...
