Trattoria Del Mare — Restaurant in Anzio

I gave them 5 stars after a lot of deliberation. We wanted to buy a mixed fish antipasti (okay, at 2pm), but the chef told us 'it was too much for us, even for two people...' Hm... We were a bit forced to buy another plate on the menu. Was it because it was too late? Not sure, because other people (Italian people) were still ordering after us. However, the food we ordered was delicious. I got the pasta alla vongole for €11. The tiramisu was also nice and finished with a coffee. In total, I had to pay 16 euro (incl wine and water) and I was full. However, the food I ordered was not what I really desired in the first place. We ate here on July 30, 2025. The staff were very kind because even though they were fully booked, they still gave us a table. We ordered various dishes from their menu since we were a large group. (It’s just a pity I wasn’t able to take pictures of what we ordered.) All of the crew were extremely kind, and they really did their best to explain the menu to us even though we couldn’t speak Italian. We went to this restaurant 3 times during our stay in Anzio! Everything on the menu we tried was extremely delicious and well made. The prices are also very reasonable. There is a very kind waiter who speaks English.

We tried "Risotto alla crema di scampi" which was very creamy and heartwarming.

We also tried "Arrosto misto (mixed roast fish)", it was very delicious, but the English name on the menu is somewhat misleading, since you don't get fish but roasted langoustine, shrimp and squid.
