Horrible! We have asked to be seated inside and the waiter waved us in. When ten minites later we have asked for the menu, he told us to move to another room. In the next room (a once beautiful castle-like hall) ALL the tables were dirty. We asked where to sit and he just shrugged. We sat at a table with dirty dishes for another ten minutes and again nobody came to us. I went to talk to the bartender and he told us to sit and wait. After ten more minutes of waiting I went to see the waiter and he said that the kitchen is now closed! As a result I can't tell you about the quality of food, but the dishes at the neighboring tabled looked below average and the people eating them looked unhappy. Durante il nostro ultimo soggiorno ad Aosta, ci siamo lasciate tentare dal provare l'attrazione per eccellenza di P.zza Chanoux, ossia quello che dovrebbe essere il raffinato locale diretto dall'esimio chef Paolo Griffa. La pompa c'è, sono i cerimonieri ad essere carenti. Il personale cerca di essere all'altezza di un posto sofisticato, in realtà sembra mancare una direzione sicura. Non c'è maleducazione o noncuranza, ma nemmeno l'attenzione al cliente che i prezzi richiederebbero. Ad esempio, l'ultima volta ci siamo recate per un mini pranzo veloce nel dehors, a base di vitello tonnato niente male, ossobuco (non si capisce perché presentato a pezzetti, già staccato dall'osso) con due dita di puré, il cui sapore era totalmente coperto dalla salsa della carne, birra artigianale ottima, dessert. Non avevamo neppure terminato il caffè, che arriva un cameriere giovanissimo che piazza sul nostro tavolo il cartello RISERVATO. Forse un modo soft per invitarci a lasciare il tavolo in tempi rapidi, dopo aver consumato per una cifra non indifferente? A questo punto ho chiamato un capo servizio per chiedere spiegazioni, il quale mi ha detto che il tavolo era riservato a chi sarebbe venuto dopo di noi, di non farci caso sottolineando la frase con un occhietto complice. Bah, a me sembra che se si vuole mantenere un certo livello, scivoloni di tal fatta non dovrebbero accadere, perché innanzitutto non ci eravamo assolutamente intrattenute oltre il plausibile, e se la richiesta è alta dovrebbe esistere un sistema di prenotazioni. Inutile domandare macchinalmente ad ogni piè sospinto"Tutto bene?" se poi di coltivare il cliente non te ne può fregare di meno. Segnalo inoltre, anche su richiesta di altri conoscenti che hanno avuto esperienza di questo locale, che spesso e volentieri al mattino mancano i cornetti già dalle 11 ed ho avuto modo di constatare che altri dolci presenti sul menù, risultavano mancanti. Only had breakfast here but- pastry options were excellent—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly crafted. The same goes for the desserts, which were a real treat. Every detail was just right; The coffee is also very good, served with care in a way that added to the experience. You can enjoy your breakfast under the archway of a stunning building and I personally found that beautiful.
