Birrificio '63, or B63, is a brewpub occupying a short two-story brown concrete building with a gabled metal roof. The building has large windows with pale trim, their stenciled B63 logo on the side, and in front is a vertical banner advertising the brewery (one of two in Aosta). It is located near the beautiful old Santa Maria Cathedral, and the modern brewery building is a nice contrast. Parking in this area is a challenge, and your best bet is to find street parking a couple blocks away and then walk. Inside, down a few steps, on the first level is their main dining area with a long service bar on the right. Behind the narrow bar is a stainless steel tap tower and hanging overhead are colorful circular signs making their beers. There is an additional dining area with more tables on the 2nd level upstairs. The real draw of this place seems to be their popular food, and the beer is a nice accompaniment. At peak hours, the brewpub is full and the welcoming staff moves quickly to try to keep up. They serve charcuterie appetizers, salad, a variety of meat and poultry dishes with flavorful ingredients, and incredible gourmet burgers. Many of the dishes include their house beer in the recipe. They have 7 house beers on tap, which are just average, but enjoyable, and my favorites were their Rock Double Lager and Reggae IPA (the beers are named after global styles of music). The brewery itself is visible on the main level, behind large windows to the left of the kitchen. Inside are shiny midsize stainless steel brewing vessels, a decent...

I really wanted to finish our Aosta experience on a high note. TL;DR - staff does not pay attention to customers with empty beer glasses for almost half an hour. We arrived reasonably full already, however, there was still room for a burger and a couple of beers. The menu is a qr code, that leads to a website that is supposedly in several languages. None of the translations work, it is always in italian and there are no photos of the dishes. Google translate also refused to translate the site for some reason. So we ordered beers and I started copypasting the dishes in the google translate manually, to see what was available. The beers came quickly. As we were drinking them, we had made our minds and chosen a burger and some dish the couple nex to us were having (could not find it in the menu, so was going to ask the waiter). However, no one came. I tried making eye contact and waving, but no avail. Tables around us were getting lots of attention, some more, some less. We sat there with wmpty glasses for more than 20 minutes, until we changed our minds. I went to the bar, we paid and left. Which is a shame, as the food looked and smelled amazing. I have never ever before spent 20 minutes with an empty glass in a bar! Maybe that is normal in Italy, don't know - but normally almost as soon as the glass is empty, someone gets the glass and asks whether to get another one. On the plus side, the beer and...

Interesting brewery in Aosta, very suggestive location and furniture. Menu not very extensive, but the proposals are interesting. This is true for what I tasted and for what I could not taste (the bretzels, for example, were not available as they were bought directly in Germany). The choice of beers is vast, I have tasted 4 different and I have appreciated, but being all craft I feel I suggest a certain familiarity to particular tastes, how can these be. The only flaw, perhaps, the service: a bit of courtesy and attention to the customer in more it would not hurt. I do not speak of demanding customers who ask for the impossible, but perhaps less waiting even just to receive the menu, or avoid being annoyed or annoyed when they ask for explanations on the menu proposals, that's all. In any case, a place to visit.

Beautiful setting in a small square over looking the Roman ruins and the mountain as the back drop. Beer was unbelievable with lots to try and rate. All 10/10 for me. Menu and food was varied with staple pastas which were delicious- try the hybrid - carbonara meets amatriciana - 10/10. The burgers were a hit with the other tables so check them out as well. Booking online was super easy and worth doing. Gutted to not have long in the city to try other things on the menu. Great for summer or ski trips.
