A Hidden Gem in Asti. A Truly Memorable Dining Experience. If you’re ever in Asti and looking for an unforgettable meal, this is the place you absolutely must visit. From the moment we walked in, I was treated not just as a guest, but as a friend. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the real heart of this place is the incredible owner, who also happens to be the most attentive and caring. The food? Out of this world. Every dish was bursting with authentic flavors, clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and a deep love for traditional cooking. You can taste the passion in every bite. Whether it’s a classic pasta or a regional specialty, everything is perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. What really sets this place apart, though, is the service. The owner made us feel at home from the start. Genuinely kind, attentive without being overbearing, and deeply committed to making sure every guest has a great experience. It’s rare to meet someone so passionate not only about food but also about people. That level of care is something you can’t fake, it’s real, and it makes all the difference. I left not only full and happy, but with a smile on our faces and a feeling like I just spent the evening with family. Don’t miss this place, it’s a true...
Read moreAlthough there are many good restaurants in Asti, Campanaro is the best one for me in terms of "traditional restaurant" with right ingredients and recipes considering many other restaurants try to be a bit fancy (so not clear identify) or they are more Osteria style (so service more rough). I always take the millefoglie (cheese, nuts, eggs, honey) and one more dish of the season. This time I took the truffle dish and it's quite satisfactory. Above all, they have good proposal for single glass of wine and price is quite reasonable. It takes 15 mins of walk from center Asti or even 2 mins of drive. There's no parking in front of the restaurants but across from the street. I'd say not too difficult to park. It's better to take reservations because very often they are full. I appreciate the fact that they open also on Monday when other restaurants are closed. All in all, it's a good choice for me and I've come the third time during...
Read moreThe restaurant is highly professional organised. They have interesting local dishes to offer. The food is just perfect: the quality, the combination… the portions are pretty big. I have gluten and lactose intolerance and it was a hidden gem for me. Normally the quality of any dish suffers if there is gluten and lactose substitutes. I don’t know how they managed it but I could not tell a difference. I think 95% of normal menu was available as a gluten free version including pastas. I tried the first time a gluten free pasta in a restaurant…Above all they had a very tasty gluten free bread! The owner and waiters are very competent, nice, friendly and helpful!
It’s not a gluten free restaurant. It’s just a restaurant for everybody. I’m just thankful for a perfect evening and so much attention to the allergies problems… I know how much additional effort it takes for the chef! Tip: book a...
