SIMPLY AMAZING! If I had to choose one word to describe this place, I'd choose "AMAZING"!

I discovered Avamposto the last december, and since then it's one of my favourite spot where to enjoy a tasty moment.

Avamposto is an independent coffee house, which stands out for its friendly and warm atmosphere, the modern and "fresh" design of the furnitures, a clean place where it's possibile to taste a good cup of coffee, read a book (there is a book corner), work or study with your pc or tablet (under every table there is a socket), and simply chilling-out with your friends!

The range of drinks and snacks is wide, such as the common italian espresso, cappuccinos, fresh smoothies, american and filtered coffee, golden milk, chai-tea latte, matcha cappuccino, muffin, donuts, waffle, and so much more!! It's really incredible what you can choose, and you have just to order, pay, give the name and wait till the staff calls you: it's simplier than it's done. I've tried the american coffee, the chai-tea latte (one of my favourite!) and lastly a filtered coffee...and I've been really satisfied. It's so difficult to find another place in Bari where to drink and eat such good stuff, with good quality products at affordable prices.

The staff is very kind and helpful, and Francesco, the owner, is so easy-going, friendly and ready to best advise you on everything you wish to choose from the big "dream blackboard" above the counter!

I truly recommend this place, as it's worth stopping by.

EDIT: Editing my review to clarify the owners reaction - the menu is on the blackboard but doesn't have prices! The paper menu was never given to us, instead we were asked to order immediately. The English breakfast was not even a proper breakfast, a few slices of sausage, two small pieces of bacon, SINGLE slice of toast divided into three pieces. No beans, no tomato sauce etc. I have eaten here for 3/4 the price and gotten way better. I don't mind paying 50 or even 100 euros for a meal, but the price must be appropriate for what you get.

@Owner: before you respond next time, please take responsibility instead of blaming the customer.

Che dire, anni fa ho fatto una recensione 5 stelle, da quando ha cambiato gestione è diventato uno schifo, più che altro per il personale dietro il bancone che forse non viene seguito bene. A parte che quando ordini sembra che ti stiano prendendo per il culo, non ti ascoltano e sparlano dei fatti propri. Infatti sto lasciando qui la recensione perché la ragazza che mi ha servito al bancone stava parlando dei suoi fatti personali e probabilmente era parecchio distratta. Ho chiesto una CREMA DI CAFFÈ. Sappiamo tutti cosa è, l’estate se ne consumano tantissime e non era la prima volta che la prendevo. La ragazza mi porta una GRANITA AL CAFFÈ quindi praticamente dei ghiaccio con del caffè dentro. Io con molta educazione dico che non era quello che avevo chiesto e la risposta è stato “hai detto granita no?” “In realtà no, ho chiesto crema di caffè” nonché le persone accanto a me e i miei amici che confermano che fosse vero. Di tutta risposta la ragazza fa spallucce e torna a sparlare di una collega con l’altra ragazza. Provo comunque ad assaggiarlo sperando fosse simile ma vi giuro mi sembrava di bere del veleno andato a male. Amarissimo e con retrogusto bruciato. Il mio ragazzo presente assaggia e conferma sul sapore avvelenato perciò chiede se possibile darmi una crema al caffè anziché la granita dato che a me non avevano ascoltato. Mi arriva e la bevo, la granita la lasciamo perché non era bevibile. Al momento di pagare il conto è di 12€ per granita + crema di caffè in piedi al bancone (la crema di solito viene 2.50€ da loro). Per evitare discussioni paghiamo e ce ne andiamo, solo una volta usciti ci rendiamo conto che sullo scontrino avevano battuto circa 5-6€. Gli altri soldi? Perché mi hanno detto 12€? Comunque dato il loro errore come minimo mi dovevano far un piccolo sconto anziché farmi pagare entrambe le cose e invece le ho pagate il doppio. Sinceramente ci andavo tutti i giorni con i miei amici e frequentavo il bar da anni prima del covid, da quel giorno ho deciso di non andarci più. Vi consiglio di istruire meglio il vostro personale, mi spiace per il vecchio proprietario, non ho nulla contro di lui e anzi se aprire un altro bar sarò...
