Magda — Restaurant in Bari

Questo panificio è un luogo da me frequentato abbastanza spesso, posso perciò esprimermi sulla base di diverse esperienze e lungo un arco di tempo di svariati anni. Voglio parlare innanzitutto della maleducazione ostinata e ormai conclamata di tutto lo staff, soprattutto delle donne che si trovano nel reparto gastronomia e rosticceria/focacce. Nessuno saluta mai, non è mai accaduto in tutte le volte che ci sono andata, né in entrata, né in uscita, ovvero dopo averci speso soldi. Il personale neanche guarda in faccia, fa passare prima gente che conosce, trattandola invece con i guanti, scherzandoci e offrendogli tutte le premure che dovrebbero invece dare a chiunque, poiché è letteralmente ciò che dovrebbero fare per lavoro. Spesso se la prendono comodissima, anche con molta gente, e cominciano a chiaccherare tra loro fermandosi e non servendo più nessuno o facendo altro mentre ci sono molte persone che attendono. Hanno sempre toni inaciditi. Mai un sorriso, mai una parola gentile o anche solo normale. Unica eccezione tra tutti, almeno nella mia esperienza, e ormai anche questa conclamata da anni di frequentazione del posto, è l'uomo che trovo spessissimo a servire i dolci o a preparare il caffè. È letteralmente un'oasi di gentilezza in questo oceano di maleducazione. Sempre attento, disponibile, premuroso e gentile, come chiunque lavori al pubblico dovrebbe essere per essere pagato per farlo, altrimenti sarebbe da tagliare fuori perché inadatto e incapace a svolgere questo lavoro. Per i prodotti, la scelta è vastissima. Apprezzo molto soprattutto i dolci, anche se non sopporto i biscotti colorati con lo spray argentato/dorato/viola e di altri colori poiché sembrano finti. Per il salato, le varie focacce sono a mio avviso ottime. Gli altri prodotti invece non sono male, ma non sono assolutamente nulla di eccelso. Buoni, ma non giustificano il successo di questo panificio e soprattutto sembrano anche questi un po' finti, surgelati, già pronti. I prodotti della gastronomia sono buoni però hanno tutti un prezzo fisso pur non essendo già pesaiti e messi nella vaschetta, dunque magari una porzione che io pago 5€, può essere molto più scarsa di quella di un altro e viceversa, per non parlare poi del fatto che se io voglio una porzione più piccola, magari anche per poter comprare un altro prodotto assieme o per poter aggiungere un'altra porzione più piccola di un'altra portata per variare, non posso. Devo per forza pagare e ricevere tutta la porzione da 5€ di ogni cosa, anche se vorrei acquistare 3 pietanze, e che viene pure preparata ad occhio! Sommariamente, la qualità non è nulla di particolare. La focaccia è buona e anche i dolci e i prodotti della gastronomia, ma quelli della rosticceria sembrano surgelati o comunque già pronti. Si può trovare di molto molto meglio. Ad aggiungersi a questa mediocrità, andando a portare pesantemente in negativo il bilancio, è l'estrema maleducazione di tutto lo staff. Preferisco di gran lunga frequentare altri posti con prodotti più saporiti e fatti con attenzione e di qualità e magari anche a prezzi più bassi, ma soprattutto in cui si viene trattati come persone e come clienti, infatti ormai da tempo ho messo una croce sopra questo posto deludente, da abbandonare appena si prende un po' di dimestichezza in più a Bari e si conoscono anche altri luoghi, senza farsi abbindolare da ciò che luccica ma non è oro. Un po' una trappola per turisti/pendolari/fuori sede/giovani...

I went here twice and got different things and some were 10/10 like the risotto croquettes and this other thing that looked like a panzerotti but was ham and cheese and was bready (it’s in the photo with the little bacon topping). The panzerotti wasn’t the best I’ve had but it was decent and I’ve also had better focaccia, in my opinion this one had way too much tomato but if you like that then go for it! The best things have to be the mozzarella croquettes tho, I 100% recommend them.

If you get here during rush hours it can be kind of confusing to order, especially if you don’t know the language. The workers were very nice however and we managed to get everything but it is a bit intimidating when walking in. Basically you order what you want at the counter but then you have to bring the price and pay on the right hand side and then bring the ticket back to the counter to get your stuff. I had the absolute pleasure of visiting this bakery in Bari, and it was nothing short of a culinary revelation. The focaccia here is, without a doubt, the most delicious I have ever tasted in my life. Perfectly golden and crisp on the outside, with a soft, airy interior that melts in your mouth. The blend of olive oil, fresh tomatoes, and aromatic herbs created a harmony of flavors that I’ll never forget.
