We were at Bari Centrale station last week and I wanted to grab a dinner on the way back to our apartment. So I looked for food near the station. I found this restaurant randomly on Google Reviews. We also wanted to take a break from Italian so we decided to stop by. What a pleasant surprise! Frulez is a lovely restaurant. Upon walking into the door, I already felt a great vibe here. Others reviews said you needed to make a reservation. We walked in without reservation but not during peak hours so we got seated promptly. We scanned a QR code to access their English menu. They have an interesting menu with great selection of healthy dishes and a variety of vegan/vegetarian dishes. Our server came over quickly to take our order. Food/drink came out pretty quickly. We ordered the salmon salad, chicken sandwich, salmon rice bowl, salmon and tuna poke bowl, and salmon rice burger. We also got iced coffee, yogurt fruit bowl, and fresh juice. Everything was amazing and tasted delicious. The portion was generous and price was reasonable. I would say it’s the best restaurant offer good healthy meals I’ve ever been to. I wished I found this restaurant sooner I would come back during my stays in Bari. It was my last night in Bari when I dined here. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Bari. It’s definitely worth a try, especially if you want something else than a typical...
Read moreThe place is very cute and clean, in comparison with the rest of Bari. The staff is also friendly. But the food was bad…. We ordered two burgers - vegan and salmon - and both of them were terrible. They were dry, without sufficient amount of sauce, the bread was cold, and overall there were too many ingredients in the patty so it was just ….something that you do not really understand. Also, for that amount of money (starting from 9EUR), there were no side salad or potato/fries. I ordered a side dish - baked potato - and there was no sauce to it… we asked staff for the sauce and they provided, but it seems somehow obvious that you do not want to eat JUST potatoes without any other wet ingredient. We were very disappointed and even scared to order deserts. Guys you have great potential but currently you need to...
Read moreThis is NOT a place for traditional Italian food. Frulez is a cool, modern-design hipster hotspot for healthy meals and drinks. The menu has enough options like curry, sandwiches and salads. There are great variations of coffee (healthy green included), as well as varied fresh juices. Prices are normal. I had a vegetarian wraps and my friend had curry (they even agreed to hold the peanuts), €7.50-€8 per dish.
Downside is, the staff does not know a word in English, even if it is "wraps", which is written in their menu. My friend speaks Italian, so we managed with her translating for me. The waitress made no effort whatsoever. The place is also crowded and noisy...
