The restaurant is being runned by a family, of which his daughter was serving us. She came across very shy, and it was more as if she wanted to get rid of the dishes than really serving it as it looked more like throwing the dishes on our tables. Nevertheless, this was still okay, but then the food turned out to be extremely oily and salty. I needed to drink liters of water afterwards. Around as we saw a couple of which the woman finished her meal while her husband was still waiting for his pizza. Some tables got a lot of attention while others seemed to be completely ignored. At the end, we wanted to pay but there was no official receipt as he calculated everything by his head and asked us what we had. Not to mention how extremely dirty the toilet was.. I dont understand where these 5 star rates are coming from, but I almost start to believe that these were bought. If you want your body to be nutritioned without having flashbacks about the extreme dirty toilet, greasy food and inexperienced employees: don't come here. Or set your expectations...
Read moreMy friends and I arrived in Bergamo late at night by plane, and this restaurant was one of the phew that were still serving food late at night. They said they were only serving food to go because they were closing soon, but they still ended up allowing us to stay which was very sweet of them. We got a slight discount on their pizza, even tho they were already quite cheap, since a simple margherita costs 5€. I bought a salami pizza which costs 6€, but only had a 5€ bill, I would've paid full price if we had the spare change because their pizza was one of the best we had before, coming from someone who has only had pizza in Germany. As if that wasn't enough, they gave us free cake and free drinks on top of the discounted pizza. We really recommend the cakes, they were so heavenly, one chocolate flavoured and one vanilla I believe. If you happen to pass by Bergamo I would definitely recommend to go drop by this amazing family restaurant, my friends and I will definitely come back once...
Read moreWould give it twice as much stars if I could! Simply amazing. Small spot where mostly locals eat, which attracts because locals know what’s best!
Food is very tasty, it’s simple but amazing. We went there 3 times and everytime tried smth new. Risotto with seafood, pasta with seafood, seabass and etc, everything was perfect. Portions are amazing, you always get a free pizza/focaccia as a starter while wait. You also get a free desert and a limoncello or grappa but that is not what’s important. The attitude of the owner makes it want to return everytime! It is obvious that he’s putting his heart into the business, the place might not be appealing visually but if you want to inhale and digest local atmosphere that is a place to go without any doubts!
If we ever return to Bergamo and the place is still there (which I honestly wish!) without any doubts we’ll go there for a lunch/dinner...
