Affumico — Restaurant in Bologna

First of all, very friendly and professional staff. We felt very comfortable. Thank you for your kindness. Second of all, we liked the sourdough bread and the homemade sauces, we thought that it was special. The wine was very good, enjoyed it a lot. But the main course didn't convince us too much tbh. The pasta was too al dente (the gramigna, the maccheroni was fine) and very salty, so that I couldn't really eat it. Therefore the desert was tasty. And we didn't understand the concept. Nice wineglasses but plastic cups for water doesn't make too much sense. Other than that, good experience, had a lovely evening and would come...

This place should definitely be on your list when coming to Bologna! It's a bit outside the city center but the food is delicious and the waiters very nice ans knowledgeable of the wines. We had the grilled Champignons, roast beef and pumpkin ravioli - they were all delicious. The deserts (merengue and ricotta pear cake) were a bit too heavy and sweet but good nonetheless. We definitely recommend this place! PS: it seems the place redecorated since I can't relate to the older reviews: the wine and water was served in modern glasses and the food came served...

Piacevolmente colpito da questo locale di recente apertura, scoperto per caso mentre ero alla ricerca di una cena veloce dopolavoro.

Principali aspetti positivi, nell'ordine:

1. PERSONALE: ragazzi giovani, positivi e intraprendenti, con grande passione, voglia e professionalità;

2. IDEA: un locale piacevole, anche se un po' piccolo e sacrificato; una proposta diversa, sicuramente non così innovativa ma comunque "fresca" nel panorama dei locali di Bologna;

3. PRODOTTI: le salse e il pane (immagino/spero tutto fatto in casa) sono davvero ottimi, le materie prime e le cotture delle pietanze lo sono altrettanto! Forse si potrebbe migliorare un po' la progettazione e la costruzione del piatto sia per i secondi (provato il petto di vitello) sia dei contorni (provato patate arrosto): ovviamente questo è solo un consiglio puramente personale; comunque ho trovato il tutto coerente al format minimale del ristorante, più focalizzato alla valorizzazione delle cotture che a virtuosismi culinari (data anche la forte inclinazione al delivery/take-away, sicuramente dettata dai limiti del locale e dalle condizioni di questi tempi difficili). Anche la proposta di birre, vini e liquori locali è lodevole.

4. PREZZI: sicuramente coerenti; tra l'altro con la bella sorpresa di trovare alcune voci omaggiate alla cassa.

P.S. Era da un po' di tempo che non recensivo, ma questo ristorante merita davvero!

Ho dato 3 stelle perché ho l'idea che pensare che ci sia sempre margine di miglioramento sia il miglior stimolo per chi ha del grande potenziale, come questi professionisti.

Tornerò sicuramente... e sicuramente con almeno una stella in più ;-)
