I've lived in France for a year (Lyon & Strasbourg) and many a croissant were consumed. Personally, the Italian pasticerrias are just okay, but this place does bread and sweets justice - cornettos just as good as the croissants from some of the best French boulangeries. I enjoyed the cornetto crema for its light citrus flavor. The maritozzo was also good - not too sweet and the cream had a hint of citrus.
The coffee is good and they roast their own. Oddly enough, they always know that I'm American and ask if I want a single - I need to do better at blending in and not have an accent.
This place has the best pizza flavor combos and toppings that I've had so far. The crust could use a little more crunch - if it did, it'd be #1 in Bologna for me. I also enjoy the focaccia.

Endive and olive focaccia - 4.5 stars Probably my second time eating endives - tastes like a spinachy Brussel sprout. Delicious texture.
Pistachio croissant/cream croissant - 4 stars The pistachio one has a slightly more moist, buttery pastry than the cream croissant. My husband preferred the flakier cream croissant. I preferred the pistachio one.

Read moreI absolutely love this place. One of the best espresso I had in Bologna. Super strong and intense and yet smooth and so delicious. Great vibes and lovely service. Additionally there's a huge range of vegan focaccias, pizzas and sandwiches so you're not missing out. We had focaccia pugliese - always a solid choice and sandwich with cecina / farinata - a chickpea fritter - which was delicious. But the absolute winner was focaccia with friggione (local variety of tomato sauce) and onion - so much flavour! All vegan friendly...
