Le Golosità Di Nonna Aurora — Restaurant in Bologna

I decided to come for lunch as I saw the restaurant had such a high rating. They were full when I dropped by, so I booked a reservation for one person for the following day. I only saw 2 other bookings ahead of me when I peeked at the book she was writing in. I did not get a welcoming vibe from anyone except the young woman who spoke English. I speak some Spanish and Portuguese, and can therefore understand some Italian, but I can't speak it.

Went in for my lunch reservation today and they sat me at probably their worst table, likely because I was solo dining. The lasagna was quite good, but didn't blow my mind. The trouble came when I asked for the bill.

The young woman informed me that the card machine was down, and they could only accept cash. I didn't have enough on me, and she told me that I could walk down the street to the ATM and return. I politely agreed (despite the inconvenience), walked out, and was already halfway there when I heard a loud whistle by a man directing me to return. I walked back in, felt a lot of eyes on me, and felt uncomfortable. The young woman then came over and asked me for my passport to hold onto. That is an unreasonable request - I would NEVER give up my passport while in a foreign country to anyone. I had to then argue and eventually left my credit card at the restaurant (which also made me feel very uncomfortable) while I speed walked to the closest ATM and withdrew cash using my backup debit card.

Overall, a rather frustrating experience where the quality of the food did not outweigh the experience. If you do come, bring cash, don't expect a welcoming atmosphere, and don't expect a nice table if...

First off, I’d like to state that my wife and I were on vacation visiting from the US. When we travel, we like to visit and support the local family owned / traditional restaurants and experience the local food. This restaurant had generally great reviews, which is why we selected it. We walked there from our hotel for dinner, and when we asked if they had a table available for 2 we were promptly turned away stating they were full for the night. We said “thank you” and left. Then we called to set a reservation since they stated they were full, asking for openings the following night, they said “no, we’re full”, so we asked if we could make a reservation later in the week, at which point they hung up on us. We ended up walking by a bit later to discover they had literally every table open except for a couple where people were seated. It seems they are generally not friendly to tourists, so if you’re looking for something in the area I’d recommend you...

Ho avuto una sgradevolissima esperienza direttamente dalla "cara nonna aurora" In pratica mi sono recata 10 gg fa al ristorante e ho parlato con il sig.Davide x prenotare un pranzo x 20 persone x il giorno 1° novembre , ke avrei festeggiato con amici il compleanno di mio marito. il primo dialogo è andato tutto bene,e a grandi linee abbiamo concordato x QUELLA DATA rimanendo d'accordo ke sarei tornata a parlare con lui, (Davide), x dare il numero preciso dei commensali e definire il tutto con più precisione, senonché martedì 10 ottobre ritorno al ristorante x definire ...arrivata mi accoglie Davide davanti al bancone del bar , dietro ad esso vi erano 2 signore affacendate e una di queste, la più anziana [forse NONNA AURORA] sentendo keprenotavo x 1°novembre, interviene dicendo a Davide " ma siamo chiusi quel giorno"....lui in modo fermo e seccato le risponde ke sarebbero rimasti aperti e ke anke alla sera aveva già prenotato una tavolata....poi si rivolge nuovamente a me e mi chiede a che ora sarebbero arrivati i commensali, ho risposto " dalle 12,30 in poi"..... la tipa poco cordialmente mi dice COSA VUOL DIRE DALLE 12,30 IN POI? io tranquillamente le dico ke 20 persone nn possono arrivare tutte esattamente allo stesso momento a meno ke io nn avessi fatto il raduno fuori dal locale e poi in fila indiana entrare tutti magari pure silenziosamente .....lei sempre con piglio più ke sgodevole chiede se sapevo ke stavo oarlando con la titolare del locale allorché ho risposto " e quindi?" Poi Davide , ke mi pareva MOLTO contrariato da questo assurdo battibecco, taglia la testa al toro e mi kiede il mio numero del cell Accordato il tutto io me ne vado con la mia prenotazione fatta ,[ tra l'altro ad un prezzo elevato ma va bene ] 35 euro a testa escluso torta e bere x antipasti di crescentine + bis tagliatelle ragù-tirtelloni 4 formaggi. Andando verso casa mi sovviene ke nella confusione del dialogo di m... avvenuto con la simpaticissima e cortesissima NONNA AURORA titolare , avevo dato il num.cell sbagliato quindi , correttamente , rikiamo il sig.Davide x correggermi ...... mi risponde proprio lui dicendo ke sapeva dell'errore xkè mi aveva kiamato x ANNULLARE la prenotazione adducendo ke aveva deciso di tenere kiuso il 1° novembre xkè nn aveva personale sufficiente ed erano un pokino "scoppiati" Ci sono rimasta di ghiaccio e la loro scortesia nn la dimenticherò mai più e dovesse essere l'unica trattoria in tutta bologna piuttosto vado alla mensa della coop a festeggiare !!! LOCALE OPSOLETO, POCO PULITO, COSTOSISSIMO E PERSONALE DA EVITARE, A NONNA AURORA CONSIGLIEREI DI RITIRARSI A FARE...
