Upon entering this establishment my nose was assaulted by the stench of stale vomit but as I had a train to catch I gritted my teeth and ordered anyway. While waiting I decided to go to the toilet to discover an even worse smell!
Coming down the stairs from the bathroom I happened to see the manager and wanting to provide a service to fellow passengers I decided to mention it to him - now my Italian is terrible but I would like to think I have mastered more words than they have learnt English because it seemed the only word they knew was What, what! which they liked to add at the end of each of my attempts to explain the dire situation facing their customers. After the third attempt the manager simply turned his head away so he couldn’t see me thus clearly I ceased to exist. I grabbed my zinger and left bemused by his rudeness the level of which had reached comical and I chowed down on mediocre food in the fresh air of train side passive smoking, content in the knowledge that his karma was to spend more time in that restaurant, not with the smell of vomit as I had first suspected but rather the smell of a parade of un wiped customers passing his...
Read moreAs a huge KFC fan, I was utterly disappointed by the food, service and atmosphere. Was travelling through Bologna to Milan and we (me and my husband) decided to stop for a bite. The floor was smelling as the way used to clean was stinking. We ordered the COB bucket of 6 pieces but was given 3 ribs, 2 wings and a drumstick. I asked that it be changed because I know, it is meant to be a mix of all parts. Which meant that I was missing one upper thigh. The white Italian at the reception was so rude and said he wasn't changing it. As a pregnant woman, I just wanted my thighs so bad and that was why we spent 33 euros on just KFC. Not until a black lady who spoke English came, looked into the bucket of chicken and realised the mistake and changed it. Don't get me started with the bad taste of the fries. My worst experience everrrr!!!! I have enjoyed KFC in major cities like Milan, Rome and Torino. But my first ever experience in Bologna is off-putting. Never again!!!!! I do not...
Read moreIf I was reviewing this restaurant for its location only I would give it 5 stars. The food was merely ok. Nothing spectacular. I went to the restaurant at about 11am and it appeared to be uncleaned, and the tables and chairs were untidy. The bathroom was “allegedly” out of service for customers, which is a red flag for me. My personal view is a restaurant should have bathroom facilities and the bathroom should be clean. I found the staff rude and unfriendly. I overheard the rude and abrupt tone in which one particular female responded to a child who had asked her a question about her order. I also had reason to speak to one male employee and his response was quite condescending. I observed the previously mentioned female staff pick her nose and wipe her hand on her pants and continued working around the counter like the nose picking never happened. That was disgusting. No bathroom to wash her hand and no hand sanitizer visible. That completely grossed...
