The true taste of Bologna in my opinion. You can not only taste the finest ingredients but also the honesty they cook with. Simple , home cooked style of food. The food, service and atmosphere have a very warm and welcoming vibe that was just perfect for a chilly winter lunch. Pumpkin Gnocchi with Sage and butter - perfectly cushiony gnocchi with the butter glazing every morsel. Gramigna Pasta with Mascarpone and Sausage - DIVINE in its simplistic perfection. I am dreaming about this pasta. Yellow Ragu - The depth of flavours was astonishing. Best bolognese in Bologna! Pumpkin Ravioli in Parmesan sauce - We couldnt have enough of the pasta so we ordered another plate (4 plates of pasta for 3 people sounds right doesnt it?). The food: I had the tagliatelle bolognese. Very good this is a good example of home made pasta. You can really taste the difference of this type pf pasta. The sauce is very tasty as well, but for those who like the pasta in lost of tomato sauce, this one will cone across as “too dry”. However, the meet in the sauce is also very good. The restaurant has many wine alternatives of you are thirsty of some good Italian alternatives. Portion sizes: i’d say these are moderate dishes if you are two, one shared starter and two main courses is pretty much ok. Except if you want dessert. Fantastic little restaurant serving delicious pastas (and other things). The menu is small, but everything is fresh and tasty and there are some very clever and creative dishes you won’t see elsewhere, like caramelle pasta with scamorza and radicchio. Service is incredibly friendly, Roberto is hilarious. The wine list is extensive and very good as well. The restaurant itself feels very homey with a nice outdoor patio too, perfect for date nights or a dinner with friends and family. It’s also reasonably priced for the quality of food and service.
