We loved this place so much, are dinner here one night and then next day were fortunate to get a lunch booking, and so really got to taste the menu.
It’s a wonderful restaurant, like eating in your grandma’s kitchen and totally family run. I counted maybe 12 tables, and the history of the family adorns the walls. Lovely table cloths and service.
It’s a small menu, but so fresh and really honors Bologna. If party of four (like we were) I would totally recommend splitting the fried vegetables/meat/ custard platter. The pork cutlet in this platter is sublime. For dinner on the first night I had pasta with spicy sausage and it was so good! Perfectly al dente pasta followed by the incredible zuppa Ingles for dessert left my stomach happy as a hog.
For lunch the next day, we got the aforementioned fried platter to share, and then the Parmesan pasta in broth which felt like a hug. The tiramisu was incredible and every bite was a delight.
Prices were so incredibly reasonable too! Definitely a win and totally recommend coming here to this restaurant to eat!

Read moreIt only took a bite to fall in love. We stopped there for lunch, and despite the fact that we didn’t have a reservation – which is recommended – they managed to accommodate us anyway and WHOA-Nelly it was awesome. I ordered the chicken cacciatore and it was perfectly done and sumptuous. My wife ordered the lasagna, which looked odd, since it was green pasta, but it was the best tasting lasagna this Italian has ever had. The house wines are also very good, but the house sparkling white is unreal. So good, in fact, that when we returned for dinner that same night, (yes it was THAT good) we bought two bottle to take back to our room. It was one of the best purchases I made in Italy. In case you’re wondering, for dinner (we made reservations after lunch) we switched orders. I had the lasagna and my wife had the chicken. It was all amazing yet again. We also enjoyed the homey décor and very friendly staff. I heartily...
Read moreWe bumped into this stunning little restaurant by accident on our last night in Bologna and it was such a nice surprise. There was only one lady taking care of all the customers, and even at the time when the restaurant was packed, her flow of service was immaculate. Although there was a language barrier, she made us feel very much at home. The restaurant has a nice ambience with lots of old photos. Food, oh... the food was amazing, everything we ordered was beautifully done. For starters, we had pecorino cheese and the zucchini with balsamic vinegar. For mains, we ordered the salsiccia with tomato and onion, chicken cacciatore (the chicken was so tender), pork cutlet and a tortellini. We were very lucky, there were 6 of us and we managed to get a table, we were the first group to arrive that night, almost all the other tables were reserved. This is easily one of the best meals we had out of our two weeks...
