Impero — Restaurant in Bologna

Stopped for a quick coffee here, and it’s the absolute cutest spot!

Even though the place was packed, everyone worked quickly and I got my coffee super fast. They had an amazing display of pastries, sweets and quick snacks (like sandwiches and croissants) which looked absolutely mouthwatering, and was definitely the star of the show. The cappuccino was the best I had in a while, super foamy and rich. Absolutely loved this spot!

Despite the amount of people inside, the place was clean all throughout, which I greatly appreciated.

Definitely recommend anyone stopping by, if you want a quick coffee or a quick bite...

The place looks nice and promising from the outside... although it’s somewhat completely different. I saw people getting served so I seat outside like everybody else. I wait for 10-15 minutes and no one came to serve me. I call the waitress a few times and nothing.. so I went inside. The queue was long, I purchase a latte macchiato and a brioche. The coffee was a little bit cold and the brioche was really good. When I wanted to take the two things with me outside, I asked for a waitress and they said that wouldn’t be possible, the same to take a tray with me to carry everything. 45 MINUTES WAITING to order our drinks.

After 45 minutes waiting, and after having ask for the waitress attention more than once, eventually someone came to ask what we wanted to drink. People sitting at tables around us arrived after us, got their drinks after as and then they left...and what about us? Still waiting the waitress to get the order!!!! None apologized for the long wait.

I haven't had aperitivo at Impero for long time and now I remeber why. There're lot of better places in the city center where to get drinks.
