This is also another popular gelato shop in Bologna. It has been recommended on several social media platforms and I decided to visit. I didn't expect there to be so many people crowding outside the shop and there was a queue lining up to get the gelato. The queue was moving quite slowly because the staff actually allowed sampling of the gelato and also engage in talking with the customers to understand what kind of tastes they are into. Took quite a while for my turn but when it was me, I also encountered the same experience like others. The staff asked me what would I like and I asked for recommendations and then followed by a series of questions on preference he started to recommend some flavours to try. There are different variations of pistachio and chocolate so you can sample to see which one suits your taste buds before ordering. For me in Italy, eating gelato pistachio is a must, followed by chocolate or vanilla. So I had 2 flavours and then the staff recommended to try a more citrusy flavour and got me the Mandarin flavour. For me it was an awesome combination as the 3 flavours really complemented each other. It's such a steal when you get 3 flavours in a cup for 4 euros! And the topping is free and please do request for the whipped cream I can guarantee you that it is out of this world! There is only like a bench to sit outside the shop so some will sit and mostly will just crowd around and finish the gelato and throw the cup or tissue into the bin provided. One of the top recommendations for...

If it's too green and smooth it's usually very bad, and this is the exact opposite, earthy green, grainy and indulgent yet light. A hidden gem in the city. Every week a spur-of-the-moment flavour including: lavender and honey, slated butter with saffron and orange blossom, peach with ginger and sage and so on and so forth. The staff members kindness is the cherry on top. Highly recommended if in Bologna.
Out of all the amazing gelatos in Bologna, they stand out for the balance in their gelato. The flavours are...
Read moreAbsolutely divine gelato from this place. I suspected it’d be good when I saw the queue, and from the very first bite of my pistachio gelato my suspicions were more than confirmed.
This fresh, rich, nutty wave of flavour infused my very being when I enjoyed this gelato. Strongly recommend. Tried several other gelato places in Italy, but I have to say my favourite pistachio gelato is from this place. Everything was just so beautifully balanced in that textured glob of gelato.
I went on and on about how good this place is to my friends, they must be quite annoyed with me by now....
