Alduccio al Panificio — Restaurant in Bosa

Fantastic place where to unwind in a typical Italian atmosphere.

The Bar-Restaurant (an old bakery is situated in the East of the medieval quarter), is the heart of a beautiful little square. “Alduccio al Panificio” has managed to revive a long deserted part of the historical center becoming the point of reference for the local community, with live music and with an unpretentious and relaxed atmosphere, that draws locals and visitors for breakfast, aperitifs, lunch and dinners. His interior design with an industrial décor (5 meter high ceilings) retains perfectly the old bakery feeling. Alduccio revisits some classic Sardinian recipes, like “Empanadas”, offering them with the right twist. Cured meat and local cheeses on the board, smoked grilled meat and fish, and handmade deserts. His fresh pasta is a trademark dish with different recipes. He sells it also by the kilo if you want to take it away. The variety of the menu include also vegetarian options. Furthermore, his desserts, strictly handmade, are to die for (twisted tiramisu – Sicilian cannoli and moist plum cakes just to mention a few). The attention to details is shown in the sourcing of the ingredients (all strictly local, high quality produces), big traders like Coca-Cola / Sprite etc... are also left aside, giving local alternatives, like Chinotto or Gassosa. His always changing menu (according to the season and availability) creates the right level of curiosity to check things out on a regular basis. Don’t listen to the cry baby reviews (ahh, you couldn’t sit at an al ready reserved table and had to obey their rules). Placing 1 star reviews bc your feelings were hurt while not respecting THEIR rules is just pathetic. If you’re looking for coffee and cake: don’t go to this place and spare these hardworking people your whining. This business is very competitive and 1 star reviews can hurt more than you think. Also, it affects me as a customer, looking for nice, original, quality hidden gems: nonsensical 1 star reviews influence the overall score very unfairly quite often. There is no way this place would ever rightfully deserve a 1 star review. Vengeance is a very unhealthy emotion.

The chef has done an amazing job. The menu is very original, lots of choice (meat, pasta, fish, vegetarian, salads), excellent wines, super friendly staff and great service. If you are looking for quality Italian dishes, besides the usual suspects (vongole, carbonara, pizza, lasagna) you should definitely try this hidden gem. I had one of the best burgers in my life and it was very much an Italian burger too. Another great plus is that their kitchen is open al day, unlike many other restaurants in Bosa. Well done guys! I wouldn't recommend this place, because the food doesn't taste good and on top of that its pricy. First of all we were very very hungry and unfortunally our airbnb host recommended that place, thats why we went there without doing any more research. I ordered the lasagne and a salad. The lasagne didn't taste fresh at all, it didn't look that good, was crusty and had dry spots and it wasn't served hot. Thats why i asked them to heat it up again. When it was time to pay i told the service that i wasn't satisfied at all. He pointed out that the dryness of the lasagne maybe was triggerd because it was heated up again... Nevertheless he asked us if we want something in the house, which was kind of him. My partner ordered something with lamb...
