Ristorante River Bosa — Restaurant in Bosa

I am sure this restaurant loses a lot of foot fall because of location it’s at the end of a long line of canal restaurants so let me try to persuade you to visit. After watching Gordon Gino and Fred I have for a long time wanted to try Sardinian Lobster ! Boom ! After speaking to what we now know as the owner and what I would like to say now friends ! We managed after lots of google translate and pictures establish what we wanted and booked a table for that same evening. We arrived to the family sitting at one of the tables who then jumped up and hosted with such care! It was a joy to speak to their daughter who kept us entertained whilst we waited for our starter ….. oh my days I have never tasted food like it! Undecided what to have our friend suggested a small starter of 3 dishes. It’s just squid and octopus the first course ! I have never tasted squid and octopus like it, it was so juicy so tasty. Then followed sliced tuna with delicious honeydew melon again so delicious and the third dish as my husband delved in saying this is my favourite. When our friend came to take the dishes away he then asked what was the last course? She replied sardines. My husband doesn’t like sardines 🙈😂 that’s how good it is ! Then came the most amazing main meal I have ever had in my life! The Sardinian lobster was served on a bed of tomatoes with oil and I cannot express how unbelievable it was. I’m usually leave bits of meals but I sat trying to mop up any oil left over and last tomatoes and the lobster was picked clean. We finally had pudding which again was delicious and the best bit about it … the owner our new friend and his wife came to join us for a drink and a chat. We talked about the restaurant of course but spent the next hour getting to know each other. I wish these people all the very best in the world as to cook/make food they did with so much love and passion deserves to be filled with people 24/7 ! Found this restaurant through Google reviews. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff was very friendly. The reason for the three stars is because of the food, what we had was tasty but when we ordered our food they made suggestions for different items than we were ordering, taking there suggestions we ended up with what looked like a cheaper version of fish and steak then we originally were ordering but at a more expensive price. I ordered the 60 month old beef, for $35 Euro and it was just a bit thicker than thin pizza crust. Some local people beside us ordered the same thing and their steak was about an inch or more thick. The fish was $28 euro and small. After we paid and were leaving the owner was standing with the local people beside there table talking, with our limited Italian/spanish it sounded like he was discussing and laughing about haw he had over charged us for what we were served. Mi trovo costretto a scrivere questa recensione negativa per informare i turisti come me, della mia esperienza. Da buon siculo che vive al nord, Voglio provare un ristorante della zona e trovandomi in vacanza a Bosa Decidiamo dopo aver consultato le recensioni di andare a mangiare al river, volevamo evitare i ristoranti sulla spiaggia troppo affollati. La location è direttamente sul fiume temo, effettivamente troviamo solo 4 tavoli occupati, Il cibo niente di speciale: A casa la nonna di mia moglie, che ci ha ospitati, ha cucinato meglio e soprattutto più abbondante e sono sorpreso da chi ha scritto nelle proprie recensioni 《PORZIONI ABBONDANTI 》. Forse sono abituato male dai ristoranti dove vado a mangiare in vacanza nel catanese o nel palermitano, Coi quali ho fatto il confronto, ma ripeto che sicuramente sono stato abituato male io... Ad ogni modo, abbiamo ordinato un mix di antipasto di mare ordinabile minimo per due persone, che prevede un piattino di impepata di cozze con due crostini, insalata di mare ( Circa tre cucchiai e mezzo come si evince dalla foto, con due cozze e un gambero da dividere... e visto che L'ordine minimo di questo antipasto è per due persone, MI VUOI METTERE ALMENO 2 GAMBERI???), 6 sarde marinate, SEI. Tutta questa abbondanza alla modica cifra di 25€ a persona quindi 50€ in due per delle porzioni RIDICOLE (vedi foto)! Lo stesso dicasi per il "FRITTO MISTO DEL PESCATORE" , Si può vedere dalla foto l'abbondanza di ben otto pezzi di calamaro, un pezzo (1, PURE PICCOLO!!!) di tentacolo di polipo, una alice, una decina di pesciolini per soli 24€ a persona, quindi 48€ in 2... A fine cena chiedo il conto al cameriere che mi chiede com'è Andata e gli rispondo che non ho nulla da dire sulla qualità dei piatti che in fin dei conti è discreta ma sicuramente le porzioni sono minuscole per il costo esagerato perché ci hanno lasciato con la fame: non mi aspettavo di andar via con la voglia di ordinare una pizza... Costernato, poveraccio, mi risponde che non sono il primo a dirgli questa cosa e mi porta lo scontrino. Quindi: due coperti, antipasto minimo per due, due fritti, una bottiglia d'acqua e mezzo litro di bianco della casa 119€. Concludendo: PREZZO SPROPORZIONATO rispetto all'offerta, decide voi se andare o meno visto che ci sono una miriade di locali nei dintorni... occhio solo a non finire in una trappola per turisti!
