After looking around on google for somewhere to eat in Bosa we decided to book at Sa Nassa. What we thought was a lucky break (a table outside on a Saturday night) was actually the opposite. We were sitting below road level with exhaust fumes. First thing we noticed was the staff were all super young, and seemed to be unable to do anything without the permission of their boss (we waited 20mins to order, and in that time time 4 waiters waved us off). Finally, a middle-aged man (the boss?) came to take our order. He spoke no English (never been a problem elsewhere in Sardinia, btw), but was impatient from the start. When we ordered our three dishes, we asked for them all to share (in Italian) and he immediately became annoyed, started ranting at us - presumably because we were ordering too little? Language barrier or not, he made it very clear he had no time for us. I've never been spoken to like that by waitstaff, let alone management, at a restaurant before. It was appalling, we almost got up and left. Alas.
Because of its good reputation, we thought we'd stay and give the food a chance. Maybe he was having a bad day, after all. The citrus-cured swordfish was ok. Not bad, by any stretch, but the radicchio and raisin combo was odd and completely overpowered the fish. The primi and secondi then came out (together, weird) and this was where things went south. The malloreddus - a Sardinian pasta with meat sauce - tasted liked something out of a tin. This is a fairly nice approximation; the stuff was grim. Perhaps even more unforgivable was the "seared" sesame crusted tuna. I use inverted commas because there was no searing involved. What arrived was the most overcooked piece of tuna we'd ever eaten (see picture). Canned tuna is treated better. Any self-respecting cook/chef/ hospitality professional would be profoundly ashamed to serve fish cooked so badly. We told one of the young waiters we weren't happy with it, and he simply cleared our plates and said nothing. The owner was never seen again, and the tuna remained on the bill at the end of the night.
A disgraceful experience. We're baffled why this place has such good reviews....

So, me and my friends went to this restaurant, and I just had to say something about a review I read. It really doesn't show what we went through, and it tries to make the bad stuff we faced seem okay.
First off, yeah, we only ordered a bit because we weren't hungry. We got 6 portion desserts and 3 cups of espresso, no big deal, right? But the staff didn't like it and even complained about it, making us feel unwanted.
The thing with the bathroom is all wrong in that review. Six of us needed to go, and we were done in less than 10 minutes for only men. The person who wrote that review is making us look bad on purpose and not talking about the real problem - the rude stuff we had to deal with.
That person doesn't mention how the staff and some customers, including her, started saying racist stuff and making us feel terrible. The staff should've stopped it, but they joined in. That's just not cool, no matter what we ordered or how long we were in the bathroom.
It's sad that some people don't want to admit what they did wrong and just try to blame others. We should be treated nicely like everyone else. Lastly, the desserts that we ordered were not so tasty. I don’t recommend here for Italian desserts. I'm sticking with my friends’ review, and I hope this clears things up and makes the restaurant think about...
Read moreThis place was recommended to us by our airbnb host, so we decided to give it a try. first time we came in fairly late, asked the staff at the entrance whether they're still open, got response that the kitchen is open for another half an hour, but we can take a sit. we decided to return the next evening instead, to come earlier. the next time we got in, waiters near the entrance told us that there's no free tables - while there were obviously some tables free. While we've been trying to think where to go to grab a bite (still standing near the door), the older dude (administrator or owner or something like that) invited us in and offered us the table. that was quite confusing. the food was delicious, pricey, but within the typical prices in Bosa. We've been also offered mirto liquer as a compliment after the meal. The not so nice part is that the waiters talked to us in Italian all evening (although at first at the door they spoke perfectly good evening) and my partner got some food poisoning. Our best guess is that it was the shrimps, as it was the only thing that he had and I hadn't. No offence to the restaurant here, if shrimps are contaminated, it's not much they can do, but that together with refusing to offer us a table at first and not speaking English while the guys definitely can do it, left...
