Do not underestimate the terrific reviews - Nuovo Nando lives up to its billing. Incredibly welcoming place with informal-yet-classy service and truly top-tier regional cuisine. Place was packed for lunch on a random Wednesday and it felt surprisingly festive. Everyone seemed to know each other, staff and patrons alike. Following a great meal, the host took my wife and me into their wine cellar and took a picture of us, then gave us his top recommendations for the next stop on our trip. Super friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere + excellent food. We had no reservation but fortunately we got a table. Our starter mains desert inc the salad was so delicious. A fabulous end to our long weekend in Brescia.
Omar patiently translated to us even though it was super busy & gave suggestions. One of the guests at the next table helped us book our return taxi to our hotel once we ready to leave.

Qualche antipasto da condividere in compagnia e un secondo: cinquanta euro a testa. L'ho trovato un po' eccessivo. Forse il bere ha portato su il prezzo, ma non credo che abbiamo consumato più di una bottiglia da 30€ ogni 3-4 persone. Lo riproverò magari in due per valutarlo meglio visto le tante recensioni positive.
Il locale è sulla strada che conduce sul monte Maddalena, il parcheggio è un po' limitato e se va bene si riesce a parcheggiare da qualche parte fuori. Ambiente piacevole con possibilità di mangiare all'interno o all'esterno. Degli antipasti ho potuto fare un assaggino (circa un quarto di porzione) dei salumi, della tartare e della pappa al pomodoro: direi tutti nella media, niente effetto wow. Come secondo ho scelto le costolette di agnello: anche quelle nella media, essendo carne di agnello le avrei preferite un po' più cotte dentro sebbene le altre carni le preferisca al sangue. Fra le portate per gli altri la cotoletta alla milanese mi è sembrata molto grande e invitante, mentre il filetto non particolarmente abbondante.
