Antica Focacceria Boscaini — Restaurant in Brindisi

The worst pizza in all of Italy. We ordered 2 and they were both horrible.

The dough was so over cooked we could barely cut through it. The olive & salami pizza came with a total of 2 olives. We weren’t going to complain even though the pizza was atrocious, but the manager (?) asked how everything was so we were polite but told him it was pretty meh and he asked why. We pointed out that our gorgonzola & mushroom pizza didn’t have any gorgonzola, and he acted offended and just straight up lied and said the pizza doesn’t come with gorgonzola. (We double checked, it’s clearly on the menu.) We weren’t looking for an argument so we didn’t bother trying to make him read his own menu to make a point lol. I’ve highlighted what we ordered in the photos in case you don’t believe me.

Then when we went to pay he told us the card machine was broken and we didn’t have enough cash. He shrugged and pointed me in the direction of an ATM. No heads up about this when we sat down.

But like, forget the weird service. The pizza was genuinely the worst pizza I’ve ever eaten. Go literally...

Food ok, service horrible !!! We arrived and sat at a table for about 5 minutes and no one came to us even though they had been serving the table beside us and seen us. We decided to go inside and get a menu and order in there. We were reading the menu when the server started yelling at us that if we wanted to order we needed to sit down. We ordered our food and he was being very rude. Slamming cutlery on the table and rolling his eyes. He was very friendly to the Italians in the restaurant but anyone who was not Italian he would be rude to and yell at them for something. The food came and it was only ok and the cutlery we received had white stains on them. When we went to pay he said the card machine was broken and told us to go take money out of the atm, but after arguing with him that we didn’t have a card so couldn’t go to the atm his cards machine magically appeared and was working perfectly fine!. He was giving out to other customers for not paying cash aswell. For someone who hates tourists he shouldn’t have a restaurant...

The worst experience in Brindisi. Awful old and smelly food, pizza swimming in mozzarella's juice, "local" meat balls undercooked, raw inside, plate of apetizers stinking hard. The service, however was even worse. Old guy yelling all the time on a young waiter in front of the clients at least 30 mins in a row, arguing with us that the food is good, only we don't have a good taste. It was ridiculous and so unreal, it was hard to believe it is happening. Never again. Stay away from that...
