Questa chiesa francescana fu edificata nel XIV° secolo in stile gotico. L'interno, a navata unica con soffitto a capriate, custodisce affreschi del XIV° sec., altari barocchi e tele interessanti del XVI°-XVII° secolo. La statua della Vergine Immacolata qui presente, secondo la tradizione, avrebbe difeso la città dal terremoto del 1743. Sono esposti, con un allestimento museale d'impatto, anche reperti e oggetti preziosi provenienti, presumibilmente, dal Museo Diocesano.
