Even as an Italian speaking tourist they don’t treat you with respect. The cashier lady makes prices by your looks. Tries to cash twice. If you get offered to take a seat outside, she tries to cash on top for being seated in and almost empty place. Of course nobody told you before. The poorest service I had so far all over Apulia.
Addendum:
Good morning,
Thank you for your response.
It doesn't surprise me at all that you immediately defend yourself, instead of understanding my point of view and using this feedback to improve the service of your bar.
In the meantime, your response is causing a worse experience than it was.
From my point of view it is not my job as a tourist to inform myself in which bar there are 2 price lists or not.
Rather it is the duty of YOUR staff, if there is NO price list at hand, neither on the table nor at the cashier, to inform the client. (See al the pictures of other reviews, there is no menu!).
The fact that there are 2 prices is fine, it is nothing new, but it is not obvious. What annoyed me most, is that after continuing to consume at your bar, the cashier insists on making me repay the product already paid for. Then saying that she noticed that the mistake was of her colleague's, in asking me to sit outside (really rude of the cashier towards the gentleman and myself). After I reminded her, the product is already paid, she tried to charge me more for sitting outside.
The question I ask myself is, since she noticed the mistake why did't she inform me since she sees everything?
Then if she sees it all, how come she does not remember that the first product has already been paid for? Or did she try it willingly?
I apologise for including everybody of your team. The gentleman from the bar was nice.
The poor service refers to the non-existent prices and the poor communication of your cashier and just so you know…I’ve been two days in a row had twice the same coffee, twice the same pastry twice different prices.
I you want me I could check if there still are receipt to...
Read moreThursday nite 8pm. Restaurant has a prime location down at the port. Tables are well spaced out. Family friendly and wheelchair accessible although i did not use or see bathrooms. Very large restaurant with vast outdoor area. Staff were extremely pleasant and provided a great service. Lots of interaction with diners at multiple tables. Service was fast but also at a nice pace, no pressure today up and move on. Plenty of choice for table selection.
The issue for me was the quality of the food arriving at the table. It was just expectations on so many levels. I ordered spaghetti and while it was hot and "al dented" it really lacked flavour and presentation. I followed up with steak. The meat was well cooked and excellent quality, again the sauce let the whole meal down. No flavour at all. Sadly, my partner had pizza. Looked great when it arrived but turned out to be just OK. The centre was heavy and raw. I could see the base was the problem it was white & he was struggling to digest it.
In short, Not the worst we've eaten but also not the greatest. it looks like the real chef had the night off and there was no quality control. Question how badly do you want to dine out by the sea.
Passing trade is good there because its by the sea and at the end of a main shopping street. So it will never lack for customers. Great ice...
Read moreWe had been looking forward to eating here, as we'd seen the menu a couple of nights before. Sadly, we were disappointed. The location was nice, right at the waterfront. The drinks and starters came out lovely (very small amount of wine in a huge glass though). But then, a group of 6 Italian people arrived, obviously well known by the restaurant. A lone English lady was seated. A couple behind us was seated. Another lone gent turned up after, and was seated. Every one of them was served their food before we got our mains. We'd only ordered spaghetti carbonara and tagliatelle Bolognese! We did complain about the timing. When it finally arrived, there was no apology, and the spaghetti carbonara was so salty. But my partner was so hungry by then, he just ate it. The head waiter asked if the food was good, he said no, it was too salty. He came back with the bill, knocking €5 euro off, but they'd added a cheeky €4 service charge, for a rubbish service that favoured their regulars! Needless to say, we won't be returning during the remainder of our week here. But the limoncello sorbet offered after was very nice! Shame really, it could be a...
