Il Sultano cafè & restaurant — Restaurant in Brindisi

In a city like Brindìsi, with a very limited ethnic food scene, and a chronic lack of street food options, especially at lunch time, this place was an amazing encounter.

FOOD & PRICES. Very tasty (I literally loved the hummus with minced meat), and prices absolutely convenient. It's not just a kebab place. First off, they serve the real Turkish kebab, and shawarma, which is what we wrongly call "kebab". And with as much as 12 €, they will serve an amazing menu with abundant rice, meat and other siders.

THE PLACE. Unfortunately they only have a few tables outside, and a few more inside, but it's now my go-to place for quick lunches downtown in Brindìsi. I think they also have shisha (water pipe) which adds to the atmosphere. Not their strongest asset, but it's more than fine for their quick and tasty ethnic meal offer.

SERVICE It is not their strongest point, but who cares when cordiality and honesty are at their best? I will gladly get up and ask for one more...

I wouldn't consider this restaurant a "Sit Down" place even though you can sit inside or out. It kind of felt fast food-ish, but with much better food quality than you would expect from fast food. I tried their burger and fries, which was very good (for Italy) and the next day we came back for the Chicken kabobs (perfectly seasoned, extremely tender, just delicious) and their Falafel (also excellent).

While the service wasn't the fastest in the world, as there was only the one person working, it was totally worth the minor wait.

This is not a "Reservation" type restaurant.

The food was stunning, I got really amazed about the quality and the flavors of all I tried!! Everything was super fresh and tasty. The best falafel I have ever ate(and I travel and tried quite a lot in various European countries and not only). The balls were super fresh and home made there, potatoes as well, not frozen ones but made on place. All was delicious and super good prices that tomorrow before leaving I will defenetly go and eat again the last lunch.
