Bottega Cilentana — Restaurant in Capaccio Paestum

The restaurant is located in a very touristic area, so get ready to wait a little bit even if you book the table. The atmosphere was lovely but the place was too crowded, with table almost attached with the next one. The food quality was amazing, same about the drinks. However, a bit overpriced since they are promoting local products. The menu is the worst, the products are listed with a fancy name but without any description (so, ppl don't really know exactly what they are going to eat/drink). Also, it's very hard to read them in the evening, a bit because of the dark environment, but also because of the wrong typo applied (handwriting) that it doesn't help at all. This is a lovely place, focused on local products from Cilento. Unique flavors from this wonderful area of Italy. We had mozzarella di bufala in three different variations: all fantastic. Local wines taste fruity, reminding you of the hills surrounding the area. Prices are honest. Definitely worth a stop...

Sono tornato dopo un anno in questo bel locale a Paestum e ho ritrovato quei cicchetti Cilentani che ti fanno subito sentire come a casa. Il personale è molto gentile e disponibile, seppure sia "solo" Luca ad occuparsi dei tavoli mentre gli altri siano intenti a preparare chi i cocktail, chi da mangiare. Comunque considerate le dimensioni del locale, tutto viene gestito abbastanza armoniosamente senza intoppi. Ho riprovato la frisella con i pomodorini e la mozzarella, il tonno con le cipolle ed un tagliere di salumi e formaggi Cilentani accompagnati da marmellate / mostarde. A completare il tutto un fresco Spritz Cilentano, soave e beverino e traditore perché dopo un po' arriva in vena... Che dire, da provare assolutamente come altri localini della zona, nel weekend è d'obbligo la prenotazione se volete...
