The food here is absolutely nothing to write home about - bland, forgettable, and poorly executed. The angus steak was decent enough, but let’s be honest, it’s pretty hard to mess up a good piece of meat on the grill.

One of our dishes even came on a chipped plate, which tells you everything about their standards. They brought our sides out way before the mains too, so by the time our actual food arrived everything was stone cold. Not that it mattered much since the sides were as flavorless as everything else.

The service was just as bad - the staff acted like we were personally inconveniencing them by showing up. Zero friendliness, zero effort to make sure we had a decent time. They were just going through the motions like they couldn’t wait for us to leave.

To top it all off, they double charged us for coperto on the bill. I don’t know if they’re trying to scam tourists or if it’s just pure incompetence, but after everything else it felt pretty shady.

Meat was mediocre, we took the aged meat which was mostly recommended and was very expensive (65euro a kg, steak with bone). It was badly cut and was not as expected from 55days aged meat. Meat steaks selection was poor. Service was poor, we had to look for the waiter all the time. Like 5 times. Red wine was kept in an open closet with lights, what made it to arrive hot to table (no wine fridge?). Desert, only 2 options were available out of 4 in menu..no descent cake. Lovely grilled foods in a beautiful area in Carovigno. However, the vegetarian options are borderline inedible and compare to that of the 3 week remains of the vegetable drawer of your fridge. On a more serious note, the staff here have a profound serving preference for Italians and locals and may leave tourists twice as long before taking orders or bringing your food. Completely understand having a closer camaraderie with your Italian acquaintances, but this was rude to our family and for some may be classed as r*ist. Apart from that, the...
