A Disastrous Dining Experience at Ristorante Il Vicolo Bar Bistrot:

I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to dine at Ristorante Il Vicolo Bar Bistrot.

The first indicator of trouble was the excruciatingly long wait time. My patience was pushed to its limits as my companions and I sat hungry and helpless for over 100 minutes, eagerly anticipating the arrival of our food. Any attempts to inquire about the delay were met with a conspicuous absence of waitstaff. It seemed they were playing an elaborate game of hide and seek, and we were losing.

As if the long wait wasn't enough, the service—or lack thereof—was beyond bad. The waitstaff appeared to be experts in vanishing acts. Our attempts to order drinks were met with a void of assistance. It was a spectacle to behold when fellow patrons, equally disillusioned by the service, decided to cut their losses and exit the premises.

Finally, when the food did grace our table, it was a mixed bag of disappointment and lackluster flavors. It became evident that the grandiose capacity of the restaurant far surpassed the capabilities of the understaffed and overwhelmed kitchen.

Horrible experience. I will never go again.

I went there for dinner with my friends. We were sitting outside and after one hour of waiting we asked the waiter how long it would take for us to be served. The owner of the restaurant then came and started shouting in front of everyone, saying that they were working hard and how dare we put pressure on them.

He was clearly very stressed as the restaurant was crowded, but we all felt terribly insulted because some stranger (the restaurant owner) was shouting at us in a public place. I tried to tell him that this was not supposed to happen and the shouting continued and he threatened to beat us up. We were close to calling the police. I am still shocked.

Solo una domanda... è plausibile dover attendere 1 ora e 55 minuti per avere 3 polipi alla griglia?? Mi spiego meglio... In 3 , io mia moglie e mia figlia abbiamo prenotato per le 20.00 e alle 20.05 eravamo comodamente seduti a tavola, il cameriere è venuto quasi subito a chiederci che cosa volessimo da bere e ha portato nell'immediato acqua e coca, dopo di che è iniziata la latitanza del personale e della speranza di cenare... avremmo dovuto intuire l'andamento della serata perché ad un certo punto delle persone senza prenotazione hanno chiesto se c'era un tavolo libero e il gestore ha risposto che erano pieni e che per errore un cameriere aveva fatto sedere delle persone senza prenotazione e che quindi si ritrovavano anche con un tavolo mancante! Comunque, dopo circa 20 minuti siamo riusciti ad "acchiappare" al volo lo stesso cameriere che fugace sfilava tra i tavoli, per fare l'ordinazione: 2 bruschette gourmet e 3 polipi alla griglia, un piatto di verdure grigliate chieste SENZA OLIO e un primo calice di chardonnay. Bene. Le bruschette sono arrivate che ormai erano già le 21.00, nel frattempo ho ordinato un secondo calice di chardonnay che il cameriere ha ripetuto più volte che stava arrivando (forse dal trentino) ma che si faceva solo desiderare e alla fine, a cinque minuti dalle 22.00, ormai senza ne speranza e nemmeno più appetito, mia moglie si alza per andare a pagare, decisi a lasciare lo pseudoristorante, ma le viene detto che il polipo lo stavano impiantando (guarda caso) in quel momento. Abbiamo commesso l'errore di tornare a sedere e alle 22.00 portano il famigerato polipo. Ho fatto presente che ci sono volute 2 ore per averlo e che era una situazione vergognosa e incresciosa, ma la risposta del gestore è stata che si vedeva che non avevo mai lavorato in un ristorante! Si è vero, nei ristoranti ci vado per mangiare e non vi ho mai lavorato.. ma 2 ore per mangiare un polipo che tra l'altro era gommoso e abbiamo lasciato nel piatto, non mi era mai capitato e mi sembra davvero troppo. Non fate come me, leggete le recensioni dei ristoranti prima di prenotare, che cosi starete alla larga dal Vicolo...
