Tre Farine — Restaurant in Caserta

This is a nice place, and the pizza is really good. However, I would not come back. The staff is not nice. We went there without a reservation and they found us a table, but barely greeted us. Maybe because we were dressed quite casually so they didn't think we were the right clientele for the restaurant? I can't say if that's what they thought, but they definitely made us feel like they didn't care about us. The guy who brought us the drinks barely said a word and kept looking outside instead of at us. Nobody smiles. Ever. The only nice person was the lady who brought our pizza. When we finished the food, we were ignored for a while (even though the restaurant was not that busy and we saw several waiting staff chatting among themselves), before someone finally came to ask us if we were okay and whether we wanted anything else. We then went to pay and they were giving us the wrong bill. They were making us pay without even showing us the bill or reading it out loud to check it. Luckily I know how to add, and the total felt wrong. So they finally checked and gave us our bill. Too bad there was a wrong item there too! Seriously, that should be a fancy restaurant. Worst of all, you pay 18% for the service. If I pay that much for service, I expect good service. Not this. I won't ever go back there. Avoid it if you can.

And it's quite sad that they still use plastic straws for drinks. They should have been banned...

I have been probably very unlucky, but I have to say that I did not have the experience I expected. Starting with the food: margherita was excellent (I enjoyed especially the sauce), Focaccia Tre Farine was good and fried appetizers were ok, nothing special.

Now the service... total chaos, waiters wandering in confusion, three waiters at a table for an order, while other people were still waiting.

We waited half an hour for water after ordering (and we were asked twice whether we had ordered or not). At least half an hour more for pizzas. We noticed we were not the only ones complaining and the waiter said that they had only recently reopened the outside garden and that there were too many people.

We reached the pinnacle when we had to wait 15/20 minutes for the coffe after having asked for it more than once. We finally had it prepared only after having paid and complained.

Overall, the spaces were really nice and clean, especially the bathroom where one could also find mouth rinse (never seen anywhere else).

I really hope it was an unfortunate day and that I will have the opportunity to change my review...

Raffinato ed elegante, nel cuore di Caserta, questo ristorante si trova in un palazzo d'epoca, tra l'antico ingresso delle carrozze e il loro rimessaggio. Sì, proprio lì dove un tempo si parcheggiavano i cavalli, ora si gustano pizze da leccarsi i baffi!

Il portone d’ingresso è stato sostituito da una vetrata che permette di vedere l’intero locale. Uno spettacolo per gli occhi, un po’ meno per chi ha fame! Appena entrati, il banco bar vi accoglie con un caloroso “Benvenuto, cosa vuoi da bere?”. Ideale per un caffè, un drink o un aperitivo prima di sedersi a tavola. Un consiglio da amici? Prenotate il tavolo, che qui l’eleganza va a ruba!

Mentre aspettate, potete curiosare tra le vetrinette che espongono raffinati capi di abbigliamento o prodotti tipici del Casertano. Così, tra una mozzarella e un vestito elegante, il tempo passa in un baleno.

I tavoli sono distribuiti tra il corridoio di ingresso, la rimessa e parte del giardino, quest'ultimo coperto da moderne tende a triangolo che proteggono dal sole di giorno e dall’umidità di sera. Le luci soffuse creano un’atmosfera intima al calar del sole, perfetta per chi vuole fare colpo senza sembrare troppo impegnato.

Tutti i camerieri e operatori del bar indossano una mascherina trasparente, perfetta per sorridere senza rischi! Sono molto disponibili ed educati, vi accompagnano al tavolo con un’eleganza che nemmeno a Buckingham Palace. Il menù è consultabile tramite un tablet, ma attenzione: niente anteprime dei piatti, qui si va sulla fiducia! Gli ordini vengono sempre presi dal cameriere, che è un po’ come il vostro personal shopper gastronomico.

Il menù è principalmente a base di pizza, con qualche primo, secondo piatto e panini per i più temerari. La carta dei vini è ben fornita, mentre per le birre ci sono solo due tipi: chiara e scura, come le scelte nella vita. Alcune birre artigianali in bottiglia aggiungono un tocco di originalità.

Dopo aver ordinato, l’attesa non è lunga. Noi abbiamo provato anche qualche frittura: non troppo unta e ben cotta, perfetta per chi vuole concedersi un peccato di gola senza sensi di colpa. Le pizze, servite al piatto, hanno un impasto morbido e un cornicione alto che farebbe invidia al Vesuvio. La base è leggermente bruciacchiata, segno che il forno è curato come un gioiello. L’impasto è leggero, gustoso e molto digeribile, una rivisitazione riuscita della pizza napoletana.

Il conto è commisurato alla qualità del locale e del servizio offerto, quindi niente sorprese (tranne magari quella di aver mangiato troppo!). Prima di andare via, una visita ai servizi igienici rivela bagni ben curati e puliti, un vero tocco di classe.

Se cercate un locale elegante dove mangiare una pizza, lo avete trovato! E se non lo cercavate, beh, ora lo farete....
