My partner and I had lunch at this great Trattoria, the service was excellent. After ordering with great advice from 'Ino. A careful eye was watching the table from the professional staff as to not bring all the dishes at the same time. All the dishes tasted fresh and delicious. The fried alici was crunchy, and the frying oil obviously fresh. The pasta tastes homemade, and the house wine is economic but good quality. We were so lucky to get into this small traditional Italian restaurant last night (Monday) - it was nearly empty but we got the last table that was not reserved (so it soon filled up and they were turning people away). It was a small menu, though it mentions they can do other meals. The food was excellent (my husband had the best spaghetti cabonara he has ever had, and he is still talking about it). We nearly fell off our chairs when we got the bill - it was so cheap (1/2 cost we have been paying for similar meals for the last 3-4 weeks in Italy). ...

Upon arrival we were made to feel really welcome, the man that greeted us when we arrived (who I assumed was the owner.) was very attentive specially making sure both the kids were looked after. The starter was delicious with lots of clearly locally sourced cheeses and cured meats, our individual mains were also very good. There were quite a few families in and I noted how good the team were with the children in the restaurant. This was our last evening in Cassino but will definitely pay Tratoria Laconda a visit the next time...
