I Quadri — Restaurant in Castel Gandolfo

Well, been planing to go to this restaurant since we arrived in Rome, as I saw and read it has a nice wiev to the lake, upon arrival we wanted to sit outside where we where greeted by a very rude employee who told us that if we want to sit we need to ask upstairs, we go upstairs where the restaurant manager showes us that we need to sit where he says, all this when does not even know 2 words in English, he calls a girl to help with the language, well even better one more employee who does not speak only 5 words, we wanted to sit outside since it was a nice day and there where 6 free tables, she could not explain why we can't sit out just that we can't sit and can't eat there this while at the other tables where people sitting and eating. Terribile esperienza, chiamiamo per sapere se fanno aperitivi a pranzo ci confermano la possibilità. Arriviamo, e ci dicono che al bar della spiaggia è possibile consumare l'aperitivo, ci accomodiamo ad un tavolino, non arriva nessuno, chiediamo e scopriamo che dobbiamo fare fila ritirare e sederci ai tavoli perché non c'è servizio al tavolo. Ok, arrivati in cassa... Solo alcol, no taglieri, no aperitivo... Nulla... Abbiamo chiamato apposta per saperlo, perché non dirci la verità?!? Perché dovevamo fermarci al ristorante?!?!!?Boh fatto sta che non mi sembra corretto. Chiedendo con educazione e facendo presente che era stato un problema di comunicazione tra bar e locale e quindi che sarebbe stato doveroso rimediare anche perché dal ristorante possibile non esca un tagliere?!?! Lo preparano per due anziché tre che eravamo, suona il gettone che ti avverte quando tutto è pronto e vado a ritirare... I cocktail non c'erano, dopo una certa attesa li iniziano a preparare davanti ai miei occhi 2 spritz e 1 mojito con una svogliatezza e trascuratezza indiscusse.... Menta marcia nel mojito.... Accorgendoci del tagliere x due, chiediamo che fosse rinforzato con quanto disponibile, non abbiamo nemmeno richiesto un altro tagliere... La barista bionda dice al barista moro "Che je dovremo da' un pezzo de pane??!?!" Punto primo: Tu starai lavorando ma io sono un cliente pagante ed educato e non merito un tale trattamento perché tu non mi stai a fa' un favore tu stai a lavorare e da chi lavora mi aspetto che venga fatto in un certo modo.... Punto secondo: Dopo tutto questo schifo perché non c'è un modo migliore o più educato per chiamarlo un conto da 58€..... È una truffa, è una vergogna! Io mi auguro di evitare ad altri la fregatura che abbiamo preso noi con questo locale, locale che in passato aveva un nome ora è un ricettacolo di persone incompetenti e maleducati, né cibo e né servizio si salvano.... Solo la location è rimasta, ma se le mosche banchettano con me non so nemmeno fino a che punto.... Punto terzo: Pagando da signori quali siamo senza nemmeno dire una parola se non sottolineare la menta marcia, commento che è stato completamente ignorato, come offesa aggiuntiva, non è stato possibile nemmeno parlare con il direttore per una simile esperienza! Direttore licenzi un po' di gente! Il locale ha perso da morire! Congratulazioni per il pessimo...

The food at I Quadri was amazing!!! We stopped by the restaurant because it was scenic overlooking the lake and planned on having an Italian breakfast and then doing a bike ride around the lake

I had expectations of a simple croissant and cappuccino But I found the most amazing pastries. That was as good as any. I’ve had maybe Better in the three weeks of being in Italy on vacation.

Then we came back for lunch and had the roasted lamb and potatoes and also the Ragu with the wild pig sauce.
