How would you define misery? Pane Cunzato is famous in these parts. Bread of misery tells the story of people so poor, they had to douse the bread in olive oil and perhaps the scent of a sardine or tomato, to give it flavour. At this place, they take the theme to new heights, or rather depths. The staff are character actors, transforming themselves perfectly to a time of misery. Except this time appears to be in the future, as they tap away on ipad copies, which is particular odd when I have just ordered 1 sandwich. The misery continues with the misery of soda, when it's supposed to properly create a campari soda. I'd say I received a generous 40ml of comparing, and around 20ml of soda...oh well, it's a hot day, the ice melted, eventually. The sandwich that emerged had a misery of flavour, within a misery of old bread...I mean at least 36 hours old. Was this some super authentic representation? According to my local insider, the only thing this represents of the area is their attitude to visitors. I soon saw a cook emerge from the kitchen, biting into her sandwich...from the look of the give in the crust and the tear of the bread, I should have got to know her before I ordered. Misery loves...

Made’n Sicily showcases the best of Sicilian coastal cuisine with fresh seafood that changes daily based on the catch. Raw fish preparations highlight the pristine quality of local ingredients. The soul of this place lies in its family hospitality. Giuseppe, the owner, and his daughter Nicole create a warm, authentic atmosphere as they wander between tables, greeting guests with genuine care. Their presence transforms a simple meal into a true Sicilian experience. The courteous staff embodies the island’s legendary warmth, while the historic baglio setting - dining under ancient trees within stone walls - provides the perfect backdrop for celebrating Sicily’s culinary heritage. Go for fresh fish, eventually arancini to start with. Pizza was not really that authentic and would also advise to serve the Tiramisu not being frozen in the centre of it 😉 Great...

One of the places to eat when in Scopello. The atmosphere on the square is magical. Great staff; kind and hospitable. Food was well prepared by skillful people with love for food. Only two small remarks about the size of the mussel meat, it appears that the mussels have been cooked foor a bit too long and were reduced to a third of their size. And its not the best pizza place of Scopello. Both still tasty though. Would recommend for dinner and lunch.
