La Pesceria — Restaurant in Castro

The food Is the worst I had all over Italy (potrei scriverlo in italiano, ma voglio che più persone capiscono che tristezza il posto è).

1. Don't serve food on paper plates unless it's a informal garden party or a BBQ!!

2. Alici (anchovies marinated) deserve some oil or, as the ones served here, are dry as paper!!

3. A plate of linguini con gamberi rossi should have more than two gamberi. And if budgeting is tight at least make sure they are both normal size. And don't overcook them!!

4. Don't bring the primo (the linguini, my main course) a second after you put the salad and alici on the table.

5. I had read others claiming that the bread is stale but I didn't believe it. Now I know it is horribly stale. I assume it is a sales strategy to make sure people don't gorge on pane, but this is more than impolite to serve two say old bead and charge for it!

6. The two kids serving were super nice.

7. Because the restaurant is on the center square of the Centro Storico (old part of the city), the ambience deserves some...

This is such a nice place. Fusion of street food and restaurant on a so romantic authentic place. Fresh fish and dishes. Wonderful to share on the table. Wonderful ambiance. You need to order inside and very friendly staff bring the dishes to the table. We sat there 2 times on a wonderful hot summer night under the moon and the stars. I am total fan of this place ! This place was really good. The ordering was done by writing how many portions of the food you wanted on a piece of paper.

The portions was a bit smaller but the price also reflects this, meaning it's almost more similar to a tapas restaurant.

But the absolute saving factor was the very friendly staff, we had three younger guys serving us and they were so very lovely! They might've been our favourite part...
