Ristorante Bar La Zinzulusa — Restaurant in Castro

We’ve been to this restaurant twice within a month – once just the two of us, and once with friends visiting from abroad. Both times we left happy and impressed. The terrace view is absolutely beautiful – a perfect place to enjoy dinner while watching the sea. The food is fresh, well-prepared and full of flavor. I especially recommend the tuna tartare – definitely my personal favorite – but also the antipasti are a real highlight.

Prices are more than fair, especially considering the location and the quality of the food. The service is genuinely friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.

Siamo stati portati qui con una escursione organizzata in salento, il luogo è bello con una bella vista, il cibo semplice e in alcuni casi assolutamente sbagliato, Abbiamo preso 2 primi e un secondo, il primo di mia moglie erano orecchiette al sugo con formaggio su grattugiato molto grade una caciotta forse, sapore semplice pomodoro dolce ma cmq nulla di che, io ho preso uno spaghetto con le vongole, pensando che essendo un ristorante avrei mangiato un grande spaghetto, all arrivo del piatto sento già un odore non propriamente classico come dire, assaggio e sento un sapore amaro un qualcosa di disgustoso qualcosa che non appartiene alla mia cultura, soon napoletano e lo spaghetto con le vongole è una religione, cmq dopo qualche forchettata riesco a capire cosa fosse chiamo la cameriera e chiedo se fosse stato messo dell origano nella pasta, al chè lei risponde che qualche volta i cuochi usavano metterlo e che se volevo poteva cambiarmelo, io rifiuto perchè nonostante tutto ne avevo fatti almeno 3/4 bocconi e non mi sembrava giusto, però uno non esiste al mondo l origano nelle vongole, 2 gli ingredienti devono essere sempre scritti in carta, 3 se ci sono modifiche bisogna avvertire, ora sono andati bene ma se li avesse presi mia moglie che è allergica saremmo dovuti correre all ospedale!!! Frittura buona e asciutta non unta, buono ma non eccellente come mangiata da altre parti in puglia, alla fine senza infamia ne lode, prezzo direi economico alla fine!!! Depends on what you are looking for. The view is wonderful, overlooking the sea. The food is very average. It is not expensive which is a saving grace. When we went it was a wednesday evening and we were one of three tables, it was completely empty and kinda weird. I can only recommend it for its view. Do not hold great expectations for food or atmosphere.
