Worst restaurant I have been to in Catania... and I have been to many. Avoid this place.

We showed the waiter exactly what we wanted on the menu and he even wrote it down and confirmed.

First of all we didn’t get the starters we ordered, instead we received the main dish only. After telling the waiter that he forgot the starters and that it is fine, we don’t need them anymore, he brought them anyway after we almost finished our food. On top of that, we received also different starters (which were more expensive) that we ordered at the beginning.

The main dish that I received was not the thing I ordered and I had to wait extra few minutes to get it done. The food itself was 5/10, in Catania you can eat much better food for a lower price.

The prices themselves were horrendous. We received a hand written bill with over 80 euros to pay for three people with very small portions, bottle of water, small cola zero and starters which were supposed to be 5 euros each. You pay for aperitifs which are forcefully given to you.

It is not the language case, because we physically shown exactly what we want to order on the menu card.

I live here for a while, and never have been so much disappoint in service and the...

Came by and asked if they have cannoli. They do indeed have 'cannoli'. What the guy came back with was an entire cannoli platter (might I remind you I came here just as a single guy). The platter looked good but it was obviously too much for me, so I took my time eating it together with my cafe latte. The second I was done though the waiter came in with the check and asked 'pay?'. I said sure, I will pay (this made me feel like I wasn't welcome for some reason, like at least let me sign that I'd like to pay). So yeah it ended up being 11 euro for the cannoli with cafe late (because it was too much cannoli). I signalled that I'd like to pay by card and he said 'its only 11 euro'. As if 11 euro is such a small amount that paying by card would be rude? Under 5 I can understand the reaction but not for 11 euro. The day before I got an entire pizza, caponata and cocktail for 13 euro at the place beside (its called magna something, I forget) and there they were extremely friendly and I paid by card.

As for the food it wasn't even that good. The presentation was great and instagramworthy, but if you want to overpay just for that be my guest. You can definitely get better cannoli...

Very disappointing experience. The salad leaves and olives were rotten, and the tomatoes were old, thick-skinned, and tasteless. Portions were small. When we pointed this out to the staff, the only response was, “We’ll tell the cook” — no action was taken. The pizza was poorly made, extremely thin, and lacked flavor — it clearly showed the cook doesn’t know how to prepare a proper pizza. The pasta dish (which cost €20) was even worse, with prawns and mushrooms that were either rotten or had a strong unpleasant smell. My daughter usually enjoys both, but she couldn’t eat it and left most of it on the plate. We made the mistake of not checking the restaurant’s rating beforehand — anything below 4 stars usually says it all. If you decide to come here, be very careful about what you order, and double-check both the quantity and quality.

I went to order takeaway for a quick bite. You can see on the picture what I received as pizza??? First it was half the size of the smallest pizza I have ever eaten. Secondly the dough was light years from an Italian Pizza Dough. I ordered two pizzas and was charged 20 Euros. Ridiculous. Also while I was waiting I took note of the plates, no comment necessary and also that should have been my red alert. The only positive thing I can say were the waiters. Pleasant and nice folks. Simply avoid this place. They simply don’t care for the customers. As many have said for Catania restaurants it is a tourist trap.

After eating out in a few restaurants in Catania, I can certainly say this one had the best frutti di mare pasta!! I was quite impressed by the flavours popping out! Just lovely. Probably the best pasta out there in Catania! The service was fine as well with price of 2euro per person. The owner of the place is very nice and talkative. The pizza dough was delicious! I highly recommend this place if you are visiting Catania and the prices are reasonable with pasta prices ranging from 10-17,18€.
