By far we had the best pizzas in all of Catania here in Accido Lattico. We spent 7 days in Catania and once we discovered this pizzeria we didn’t want to go anywhere else. The owner and the waiters were really kind and helpful. The service were excellent, we didn’t have to wait long after we order. There is a wide selection of pizzas and pastas, and there is also gluten free options, so everyone can find something to their taste. We tried San Daniele, Bufala e Crudo, Quattro Pomodori, Piccante and Capricciosa pizzas and they all were excellent! I ordered gluten free pizzas and they were beyond my imaginations! I’m afraid there won’t be another place like this where I can eat such excellent gluten-free pizza like this. We really hope that in the future we’ll have the opportunity to return to this amazing pizzeria again! Thank you for the great pizzas and kind service! Keep up the good work!

Read moreWe were at Acido Lattico twice during our stay in Catania. At the first time we luckily found a table for 7 people without reservation. The kind waitress let us wait a couple of minutes and there started the great experience. We ordered: antipasti for 6 people. Good start. After that we ordered pizzas: e.g. Versace, Rikkotta, Margherita Acido Lattico and others. Local Sicilian beer. All of these were very tasty. The waiting time was not long. Everyone gave the highest rating.
A couple days later we decided to visit the restaurant again. This time with two of us. We got Versace again and Scamorzetta. Before them we ate pistachio arancini. And once again very good choice.
As a desserts we choose tiramisu and panna cota. Well this wasn’t so delicious as expected. Definitely Acido Lattico is a genius place as serving pizza.
There are also cozy and nicely finished rooms and smiling and helpful waiters.
I definitely recommend visiting this place during your...
Read moreOk. I was only looking for a place to have a beer in Catania and at 8pm the choices in the area are pretty non existent. So i just walked into this place and basically they want you to sit and eat. No bar. They do have beer and amaretto and wine. Also.. Apparently you need a reservation. I got a table no problem but they were kind of weird about me asking just for beer and I ended up getting potatos too.
The pizza that i saw coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. Around 815p it went from basically dead to busy. Assuming all of these people had reservations.
The reason i mention this although i was able to sit and drink the gigantic beer and eat tasty potatos was that when the bill came, i saw this 3€ charge. When i put the word into translation i realized they charged me extra 3€ for eating at a table for 2.
So just a heads up. The locals started flooding in around 815 830 so you know its legit. If you wanna go here just be sure to make a...
